Historia
Court Gentry is known as The Gray Man—a legend in the covert realm, moving silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible, and then fading away. And he always hits his target. But there are forces more lethal than Gentry in the world. And in their eyes, Gentry has just outlived his usefulness. Now, he is going to prove that for him, there's no gray area between killing for a living-and killing to stay alive.

Sadly predictable and felt it needed more depth
Revisado: 01-04-22
The story is simple and works well for a simple action thriller but comes across as flat and predictable. Not sure if because this is book 1 of a series and it's mostly for set up but it doesn't work for me there is bit character depth and thr motivation is handled poorly and falls apart under scrutiny

fun and excellent entry into the series
Revisado: 01-04-22
This is a good entry into the series and the personality of the characters work well together even with the change of the story and it taking a different direction. it's a bit of a slow start focusing on building the new domain but I enjoyed it heartily and reccomend it.

Great narrator but underwhelming and predictable
Revisado: 11-10-21
The book has an amazing narrator and has some rather amusing story telling elements. the protagonists are full of personality but unfortunately the story suffers from being predictable and not actually making a statement with its themes or at the very least being ambiguous so it feels unsatisfying overall this ended up being less enjoyable for the actual narrative and more enjoyable for the performance

Historia
For solitary novelist Jorie Price, true love seems as fictional as the shape-shifting creatures she writes about in her paranormal romances. Griffin Westmore doesn't believe in love, either, but she's one of those not-so-fictional shape-shifters who secretly live among humans. When Jorie's writing gets uncomfortably close to the truth, Griffin is sent to investigate and, if necessary, kill the author to protect the secrets of her kind. But when Griffin unexpectedly finds herself drawn to Jorie, her world is turned upside down.

a little lacking
Revisado: 08-13-21
this was a great narrator with a very bland story the story was interesting and enjoyable but overall underwhelming. It was a bit predictable and didn't quite manage to make the relationship believable and relied in inner monologues too much to compensate I won't say it's not worth it but this suffers from niche syndrome

this was ruined by a monotone completely passionless reading and awkward stilted unnatural dialogue. Pass on this one or read it hardback the audiobooks is surely less enjoyable for this one

too much fluff and minutia
Revisado: 02-02-21
this story spends too much time and repetitive flowery description and detail but doesn't build up the relationship well a really interesting concept not handled well sadly and it ended up being quite predictable it could have been 2 hours shorter just by removing the word tenderness and actually giving stronger personalities to the characters

Fun and well performed but not a masterpiece
Revisado: 01-19-21
I loved the personality and the reader was amazing and managed to do a great job giving a lot of energy and personality to the characters. It is overall a very simple savior to lovers story that follows the tropes to a T so dont come here looking for a unique and innovative experience but it is a fun sexy romp you'll probably enjoy a lot if you don't think too hard

my first hard science drama fun but too technical
Revisado: 12-22-20
I've never experienced this kind of book before it was an incredibly interesting concept about how ab alien organism affect humanity over its first contact but was a bit too jargon and hard technical for me. Also the characters were all indistinguishable with 0 personality I enjoyed the concept but not my type of story

Historia
Her name is Odd. Twelve-year-old Audrey Wyatt bears the unfortunate nickname "Odd", a name even her bar-hopping, alcoholic mother uses when she's sober enough to recognize the girl. Cowed by life, Odd doesn't protest, not when she's deformed as she is. Born with a combination of rare birth defects, Odd's eyes are a startling and dreadful red. Demon eyes is the first thought that springs to mind. The little girl takes care to hide them behind dark sunglasses, something her mother insists on, except when she's trading freak-show peeks for dollars or drinks.

poorly written amazingly performed
Revisado: 12-08-20
The narrator did amazing bringing this awkward lackluster story shine. You can tell the author has no experience with diverse writing and all ethnic characters come across as rather gross caricatures and it stretches disbelief for me and the ending is sadly unfulfilling and the story suffers from flat one note characters and inconsistent personality

great fun and well performed if a bit cliche
Revisado: 10-21-20
overall I liked it and didn't take it seriously. Its a fun whimsical modern fantasy my only complaint is that it comes across as juvenile or immature with its crassness it feel out of place and unexpected. The pacing is even and the story flows well from arc to arc Once the characters get established it works really well and is an experience id read more stories in thr same world but you have to be alright with simply cleaned up cliche a lot. The reader does a great job of giving a lot of personality and the story can get really emotional surprisingly I dont regret it.
