There's more to the Audio

This is a good autobiography. If you are interested in the life of sex worker you may enjoy this book. However this audiobook has some of the worst audio editing. The reader comes through crystal clear, and so do the arm starches, the traffic, the things falling over, the ice in a drink, the drink itself. Again the book itself is good, but if you listen through headphones you're going to hear a lot of background trash. Also the reader stumbles on some words like we all would when reading aloud for an extended time, but those words shouldn't have made it into the book. There are some edits and you can tell by their clipped smashing into the rest of the audio. I am sure that Mistress T is a busy person with a lot on her plate, but I'm also pretty sure that she didn't hire a Sound Engineer, a Proof Listener, or an Audio Editor. If this is your 1st audiobook you may not even notice, if you listen to audiobooks, podcasts, or speeches frequently it will be hard to hear anything else.

Urban Fantasy at its' finest.

I like a lot of Neil Gaiman's work, but this is perhaps my favorite book of his. The book is better than the show and better than the comics based on it. It also includes an additional short story set in the same series.

Classic Comic

This is a great audio performance of a classic comic book. It would help to have a passing familiarity with the X-Men before listening, but it isn't necessary.

A great addition.

The addition to The Boys (TV show not comic) is fantastic. All the cast does great. Having the actor from the from the show (Chance Crawford) voice his character gave it added immersion. If watch The Boys (At least to the end of season 2), then listen to this. If you don't watch The Boys but like the idea of closer to realism superhero genre, then watch The Boys and then listen to this.

Every Christian should at some point read it.

Look, I love the Lord and I was raised in the church. We went no matter where we were stationed, but even after all those sermons, there was a lot left out. The person reading this has got great diction, he does read a bit slow, but his diction is so good you can crank the speed up without losing any of the words. I preferred 1.35-1.40 speed, but during genealogy I went as fast as 1.95 speed and I could still hear all the names and wish that it was in a flow chart. At 89 hours and 277 chapters I can see where it would be rough to use as a study guide, but if you want to hear every single word I recommend this book.

This book would've done a lot better with me if it was still 1993 and I was still 14. If you are really into adolescent male power fantasies, have young teens mind set, and you enjoy or tolerate some light to medium misogyny then this book might be for you. Forgotten Realms is a rich source material that you had better already know or not care about going into this as there is little to no world building. The characters are largely two dimensional, and the plot is not hard to follow as there isn't much of one. It might get better in book two, but I'll never know.

A great tale well told

I hope that I am at least half as lucid at 80 as Mr Brooks is at 95. This is a great recounting of his life this far. If you have any interest in or respect for Mel Brooks then this book is for you. If you do not like movies, tv, theater or comedy, then this isn't the book for you, and I wonder how you made it to reading reviews of the book.

unless you've already read this book. The book starts in chapter 2. I enjoyed the story, it is dark, but good if you like that sort of thing. This book is very different than movie.
