Revisado: 03-19-25
Simplistic. Poor character development. A main character that swings from very wise to amazingly stupid. A story line that is farfetched to say the least. There are many better choices out there.

Superficial and disappointing
Revisado: 12-26-24
Many words with little substance. This author spends so much of his focus on the inane that the read becomes frustrating. That combined with a far-fetched story line makes this listen very tough sledding

Historia
Once a respected lawman in Kansas and Oklahoma, Ty Brannigan ended his career as town marshal of Warknife while he was still young enough to marry, start a family, and raise cattle. Now nearly sixty, he’s a proud husband, father of four, and proprietor of the Powderhorn Ranch. He’s more content wrangling cows than criminals. But for every outlaw Brannigan put in jail, noosed, or left to the vultures, he made even more enemies. They’ve made the mistake of targeting his wife and children—only to discover that Ty Brannigan enforces his own law with a lightning-fast draw.

Way too contrived and unrealistic.

Sorry, this is weak. 21st century values and roles imposed on the 1800s. I prefer accurate depiction of history.

Speaking Needed Truth
Revisado: 10-29-24
I am grateful to see the truth being shared boldly. We live in times that are trying to all mankind’s souls. Megan Basham lays it out straight and challenged Biblical Christians to stand firm and push back at the tidal wave of “powers and principalities” that are leading many astray from the truth of God. Bless her for this book!

Historia
Marshal John Beck was the law in the dangerous town of Mother Lode, Arizona. On his own, he'd managed to keep bandits, rustlers, and desperados at bay. It was a tough job for one man to handle, but he made it work...until the day Bram Hogan and his Brickhouse Gang got the drop on the lawman. They beat Beck to within an inch of his life and dropped him in the desert, where nothing but a slow, painful death awaited him. But the gang underestimated Beck. Even at his lowest point, he found a way to survive.

Solid Biblical Truth
Revisado: 10-04-24
Clear and directly connected to God’s word. If you want to know the complete description and mission of Satan and his demons from the Bible, this is the book for you. It is not presented in a flashy or exciting way… “Just the facts, Ma’am” and the reader enhances that dryness. But, it is a complete and valuable effort.

Timeless, well-written western stories for all ages. L’Amour included sometimes subtle and sometimes no-so-subtle life lessons and morals in them. Unfortunately, for many, these lessons don’t fit the popular narrative being pushed today.

An important wake-up call
Revisado: 12-28-23
Essential reading for all those who love America and want to see it’s heritage preserved. We live in times where most Americans are caught up in superficialities and foolish pass-times and fail to pay attention to the assaults taking place on the foundations of our freedom. It is time to wake up and smell the coffee!!
