First of i thoroughly enjoy the voice and reading of Mr Clark! He brings these stories to life, Thank you for your time and great narration.
This is the 3rd book in the series that i have listened to. I loved the first two books, but this one really kept going, smoothly and surprisingly into the twists and turns of a deeper plot.
Truly enjoy everything about the lovely cast of Welsh characters. I am looking forward to listening to the rest of this series. Thank you Rhys Bowen for your excellent stories!

Historia
In "Murder at the Mousetrap," the first Bunburry book, fudge-making and quaffing real ale in the local pub are matched by an undercurrent of passion, jealousy, hatred and murder - laced with a welcome dose of humour. Alfie McAlister has retreated from London to the peace and quiet of the country to recover from a personal tragedy. But an accidental death - which may have been no accident - reveals that the heart of England is far from the tranquil backwater he imagined.

Historia
Sharing lodging in the sleepy English village of Walmsley Parva has eased some of the financial strain on the two old school chums, but money is still tight in these years following the Great War. So when the local vicar - and pigeon-racing club president - approaches them with a private inquiry opportunity, the ladies accept. There's been a spot of bother: The treasurer has absconded with the club's funds and several prized birds. But when they visit the man's loft, they find their elusive quarry lying in white feathers and a pool of crimson blood - the only witnesses cooing mournfully.

Enjoy a treat of mystery!
Revisado: 09-14-21
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and others from this author and reader! The stories are easy to follow, and you’re not confused at anytime by trying to keep up with characters. This makes for enjoyable easy listening. Most times i am listening when knitting or hand sewing bindings on quilts and they are just the right easy listening stories to accompany my tasks. The author, Jessica Ellicott is wonderfully constant with her writing. Ms. Ellicott gives just enough descriptions, and thoughts the characters are having without going overboard and so wordy that you start forgetting the story or which character was being discussed. I love this duo of these two great friends, Edwina and Beryl. They work hand in glove and they are not boring characters. They each have equal and quality parts that keep you interested in both their characters. Ms Barbara Rosenblat is a wonderful reader. She gives life to each character and brings the whole story alive. That is so important when listening to a reader. Ms. Rosenblat’s accents and voices are super… she keeps them all organized and keeps their personality as she speaks for them. Thank you for the enjoyment i get from listening to these books (this series).
