Do you think mainstream America needs to find its voice? If so, you’re not alone. The country is under attack by extremists at the fringes who put ideology before sanity and stoke division for their own gain. They are trying to rob America of its common sense and deny empirical truths, and we’re all suffering the consequences.

Historia
Stephen R. Covey spent his long and storied career inspiring millions of individuals to make their lives more effective, compassionate, and meaningful. Near the end of his life, Covey felt there was a final component to his work: How do you live your best life no matter your age? Live Life in Crescendo is Covey’s directive to live life in crescendo, meaning to continually grow in contribution, learning, and influence. In the same way that music builds on previous notes but leaves us anticipating the next note, a life builds on the past but unfolds in the future.

Love the title!
Revisado: 02-16-23
I love the title! One can just sit and ponder how “Live Life in Crescendo” applies to one’s own life.
The book is good. I felt that it speaks especially to mid-lifers and older. I felt that much of the verbiage was repetitive. Seemed to be a bit of a tribute to her father and somewhat her mother as well.

Unrealistic story detracts from credibility
Revisado: 02-04-23
The principles taught in the book are true and timeless, in my opinion. However the story line and performance is so far fetched and unrealistic that they distract and lessen credibility of the true principles.

Jared is obviously a very deep thinker. He has some good thoughts, but does tend to ramble in this book. The book didn’t especially change my life.

Historia
On September 11, 2018, Navy SEAL Chief Edward Gallagher - a highly-decorated combat veteran with nine deployments to war zones in Africa, Afghanistan, and Iraq - was arrested for war crimes at the TBI medical clinic where he was receiving treatment. His incarceration was the culmination of a year-long whisper campaign started by a group of disgruntled members of his SEAL platoon. While heavily covered in the media, the full story of how a war hero was railroaded and nearly sent to prison for life for crimes he didn't commit has never been told.

I'm so grateful for the men & women that serve courageously and for their sacrifices, and those of their families. God bless you all. #teameddie

Historia
Deena Kastor was a star youth runner with tremendous promise, yet her career almost ended after college, when her competitive method - run as hard as possible, for fear of losing - fostered a frustration and negativity and brought her to the brink of burnout. On the verge of quitting, she took a chance and moved to the high altitudes of Alamosa, Colorado, where legendary coach Joe Vigil had started the first professional distance-running team. There she encountered the idea that would transform her running career: the notion that changing her thinking - shaping her mind to be more encouraging, kind, and resilient - could make her faster than she’d ever imagined possible.

Has a few “gold nuggets” BUT I CAN’T RECOMMEND!
Revisado: 08-10-18
I can’t recommend this book to anyone.
This book is full of profanity. F-bombs are dropped consistently throughout. Other profane words are used throughout too. The author loses a lot of credibility with me for that. This reason alone, is the biggest reason I will not even discuss this book with anyone, let alone recommend it. The profanity was worse than my high school experience.
One other reviewer used the term “bro science” which is an interesting but appropriate term. Aubrey refers to a lot of science to validate his points, but credibility is very questionable (you know that you can find a study to prove anything, right).
Among other things, he also promotes alcohol, caffeine, marijuana, pornography, masturbation, all kinds of weird supplements, BDSM, etc. etc. (of course, all within moderation, right).
Don’t waste your time on this book. I try to seek wisdom out of the best books. I’m sorry I even wasted time on this book. I’m not usually so vocal, but I hope that some people will appreciate my review of this book. This book is trash.

Hailed by The New York Times as "a marvel of storytelling", The Things They Carried’s portrayal of the boots-on-the-ground experience of soldiers in the Vietnam War is a landmark in war writing. Now, three-time Emmy Award winner-Bryan Cranston, star of the hit TV series Breaking Bad, delivers an electrifying performance that walks the book’s hallucinatory line between reality and fiction and highlights the emotional power of the spoken word.

So much swearing
Revisado: 05-24-18
Started to listen to this cause our son had to read it in school. I know it's the time period and it's the war, but seriously couldn't handle the swearing. You can tell a good story and have it be meaningful and emotional without ruining it with the unnecessary swearing. I was disappointed. So was my son, who requested a different book.
