Historia
By day, 17-year-old Jo Kuan works as a lady's maid for the cruel daughter of one of the wealthiest men in Atlanta. But by night, Jo moonlights as the pseudonymous author of a newspaper advice column for the genteel Southern lady, "Dear Miss Sweetie". Giddy Goobers!
Revisado: 01-14-22
This book is amazing. I loved the narrator’s voices as well as every second of this story! I fell in love with the characters and the story carried me along weaving me through Jo’s life. I was sad it was over when it ended. It was so good. Read it - you’ll be so glad you did!! (And you’ll understand why I titled this review Giddy Goobers once you read it!)

Historia
August 1939: London is dismal under the weight of impending war with Germany as Hitler’s forces continue to sweep across Europe. Into this uncertain maelstrom steps Grace Bennett, young and ready for a fresh start in the bustling city streets she’s always dreamed of - and miles away from her troubled past in the countryside. With aspirations of working at a department store, Grace never imagined she’d wind up employed at Primrose Hill, an offbeat bookshop nestled in the heart of the city - after all, she’s never been much of a reader.

A must read!
Revisado: 01-11-22
I never leave reviews but this story swept me away and captivated me until the end. I lived in London for awhile and this just pulled me in. I cried, I laughed, I drank tea when they had tea and I fell in love with the characters. Such a beautifully written captivating story describing life during WW2 while reminding you how powerful reading aloud and reading stories can be. Loved it. Loved the narrator. Loved everything about this book!
