The story set up was a little long, but the story was well worth the wait. It is one of those stories you do not want to end. And it was pleasant and sweet

Shawna's hopes were dashed when Ashton packed up her things and went away to college completely unaware of Shawna's feelings. Twenty-three years after Patty's potion was brewed, Ashton returns to her hometown. She finds time has changed a lot, including Shawna.

Historia
Books are Rosie Taft’s life. And ever since she took over her mother’s beloved Manhattan bookstore, they’ve become her home too. The only thing missing is her own real-life romance like the ones she loves to read about, and Rosie has an idea of who she might like to sweep her off her feet. She’s struck up a flirty online friendship with lesbian romance author Brie, and what could be more romantic than falling in love with her favorite author?

why not hire two readers?
Revisado: 12-26-22
The book was typical soft lesbian romance and the characters seem like teenagers in grownup outfits.
The real problem are the voices. Abby Craden's sexy, if somewhat breathy, is enjoyable, until she lot me with the British accent. Worse yet, I started No Rings Attached, the second in the sequel, I wld rather hear Abby Craden's Brit accent than Zara hyphened name do American accent.
I am writing this not to critique the narrators, I like listening to both of them in their native accents.
The thrashing is for the producers who were too cheap to hire both of them for each book. Rachel Lacey you should bring this up to the powers that be.
Fortunately audible returned my credit for No Ring.

Historia
After their home burns down, fourteen-year-old Nick, his younger brother, and their father move into a ramshackle Victorian house they've inherited. When Nick opens the door to his attic room, he's hit in the head by a toaster. That's just the beginning of his weird experiences with the old junk stored up there. After getting rid of the odd antiques in a garage sale, Nick befriends some local kids - Mitch, Caitlin, and Vincent - and they discover that all of the objects have extraordinary properties.

I wish I hadn't
Revisado: 06-02-21
The reader: every female voice is annoying, almost unlistenable. I will not listen to another one of his reads.
The writers: obviously men because they compared something loud and annoying sound to the sound of little girl's voices. When will men stop using female comparison as an insult. That's the warning I want on books.
The book: clever and different.

Historia
Listen, having kids is great, my little Gigi Collins and Pete’s daughter Hannah are sweet little fluffs of cotton candy, spun from the silk of fairy spiders who live in the clouds. But man, can they cause trouble. Seriously, you’d think a two-year-old couldn’t possibly threaten the very existence of our physical reality, but, well, you know where this is going. So join me and Pete, and Bobo, and of course the man himself, Nikola Tesla, on another spine-tingling, bowel-loosening thrill ride, and remember: bring your adult diapers.

Too many details
Revisado: 01-04-19
The details have made a some what boring book excruciatingly boring. The placement of the drums then everything visible on the street added nothing to the story.
I haven’t even finished the book yet, but wrote a review anyways.

Not a pleasant voice
Revisado: 10-05-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A Different reader
What was most disappointing about Gregory Maguire’s story?
It was convoluted
How could the performance have been better?
the voices were not distinct. Yet, the one that was distinct was so unreal and creepy, Most everyone sounded creepy with the stereotypical cadence of cranky old women.

Ruined
Revisado: 04-04-13
If you could sum up Cahills vs. Vespers, Book 6: Day of Doom in three words, what would they be?
A disappointment
Would you ever listen to anything by David Baldacci again?
Never
Have you listened to any of David Pittu’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, everything Audible has in stock.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Baldacchino ruined a delightful series
Any additional comments?
Baldacci obviously had other things on his mind while writing this book. I am disappointed and frustrated scholastic employed him to write the final story of this wonderful series. It would give me great joy if a different writer rewrote a final book.
