Historia
He's the butt of political jokes, frequently subjected to ridicule, and almost never absent a "Worst Presidents" list where he most often ends up at the bottom. Historians have labeled him the "Worst President Ever," "Dead Last," "Unfit," and "Incompetent," to name but a few. Many contemporaries were equally cruel. H. L. Mencken called him a "nitwit." To Alice Roosevelt Longworth, he was a "slob."

A very weak, biased history
Revisado: 02-18-23
I haven’t heard anything this blatantly biased since A People’s History of the United States. This author starts by telling us who he votes for, then complains incessantly about the “Liberal Academics” giving Harding a bad name. Half of the book is just a condescending explanation of why taxes are bad. I’ll sum up the whole book. Taxes are bad + Harding lowered taxes = Harding is good. A poor excuse for history. Well narrated though.

Historia
Ukraine's sudden prominence in American politics has compounded an already-widespread misunderstanding of what is actually happening in the nation. In the American media, Ukraine has come to signify an inherently corrupt place, rather than a real country struggling in the face of great challenges. Ukraine: What Everyone Needs to Know addresses Ukraine's relations with the West, particularly the United States, from the perspective of Ukrainians.

Weird Narration
Revisado: 10-15-22
A lot of these reviews are saying that the narrator is “flat”, but that doesn’t quite do it justice. Imagine someone telling you something very important, in the same room as a sleeping baby that he’s desperate not to wake. He is aggressively whispering at you the whole time. There’s nuance in his voice, but all within a whisper. It took a while to get used to it.

Historia
History chiefly remembers Martin Van Buren as the eighth president of the United States (1837– 1841). He was also, however, notable for achieving many firsts in American politics. He was the first American president to be born a citizen of the country, and not a British subject. He was the first Dutchman and the first man without Anglo-Saxon ancestry to serve as president. He was the first and only American president to have been raised in a language other than English.

Was there no producer on this recording?
Revisado: 10-25-21
The information in this audiobook was fine, but the voice actor consistently mispronounced basic words. I know that’s a pedantic criticism but it was really grating. I only started writing them down in the last 15 minutes of the audiobook, but here are a few examples.
Subsequent as sub-see-quent,
Memoir as mem-wire,
Assuaged as a-sewaged,
Vehemently as vehemenently,
and so many more that I didn’t write down. It made it hard to take this biography seriously.
