A little disappointing...

I struggled with these stories, some felt not even half finished, while others felt rushed and unedited.
The narration didn't help either.
I'll try something from this author one more time before I add them to the "do not bother" pile

I changed my mind...

When I first met Jasper Bergen's character in the first book in this series, I wasn't impressed by him or his attitude towards people and life but after listening to his and Elle's story, not only did I change my mind about him, I also changed who my favourite Bergen brother was to date...
Eleanor Reynolds is a power house of a woman but unfortunately for her, thanks to her money manager Monty, has gone from a millionaire travel writer, book author, blogger extraordinaire, to broke and being forced to take a contract with Bergen Resorts to help with their rebranding and working with Jasper Bergen...
Jasper has made his distaste of Elle very obvious... but unfortunately for Jasper, she also gets under his skin like no one else ever has and his "empty bunny" facade starts to crack and Elle gets to see the real Jasper that no one has since since his parents died...
Their journey isn't an easy one but it is so worth the risk they both take to do it...
As always, his loveable grandparents make their presence known with heartfelt advice and humour and give their story the heart it needs to make you fall in love with this crazy family...
I can't wait for Camden's story...

Everyone deserves a chance to make it right...

Brennen and Abby couldn't be any different if they tried, he's a billionaire playboy and she's a first grade school teacher.
When their paths cross sparks fly... but not the good kind, Brennen doesn't want to be there and acts like a douche and Abby is trying to make the best of her first day at a new school after a bad start... but when Abby pulls Brennen up on his attitude, things change for the better and that spark slowly starts to become the good kind... infact, it eventually becomes the best kind.
Their story has a nice pace to it, Brennen is totally swoonworthy and a little broken but with the help of the sweet, kind and a little naughty Abby, they both get the kind of story that will have you sighing and wanting to find your own Brennen to cuddle up with and watch the Notebook... Oh and you just know Abby's cousin Elle is going to give working for Brennan's older brother Jasper a run for his money in the second book in the Bergen Brothers series after seeing their interactions in this book... and I can't wait!

Jarrod and Astra are both likeable characters and their chemistry is undeniable...
On the whole, I enjoyed this story and the narrator was good, it was just the patchy playback that annoyed me...

Unexpected outcome...

I found this story to be charming, after an unexpected meeting in the forest with a man stuck in a bear trap who suffers from amnesia, Alexi's life will never be the same again.
Questions will be answered, hearts will healed and futures will take an unexpected turn.

Never judge a man by his boss...

Pepper is a singer, who thanks to some mismanagement and naivete ends up in debt to the mob and the way to pay her debt is to sing in their Vegas casino until the debt is repaid... but Pepper is rundown and can't sing so her manager makes her lip sync... unfortunately for him Tony the owners righthand man, and enforcer, notices and demands answers... but Tony and Pepper have had an attraction from the moment they laid eyes on each other and that's where the story really starts to get interesting... there is also a lot of underhanded stuff going on behind the scenes that Pepper has no idea about and when it all starts to come to light, things get deadly... this was a good story, I liked both Pepper and Tony aswell as some of the secondary characters and the narration was good.

Who doesn't want to get lei'd in Hawaii??

Roxy is the of woman to talk herself out of a good time by over thinking everything... well that is until her wedding day and she receives a text that no bride, or groom, ever wants to receive... her fiancee and best friend are in love so the wedding is off! So as Roxy tries to wrap her mind around the events, her beloved Grandmother, Baggy, makes her mind up for her and her sister Ruthy joins in... their all leaving and going on Roxy and her ex's honeymoon.... and this is where the fun really begins... and the first person they meet when they arrive in Hawaii is their driver Kai... who Ruthy describes as a Jason Momoa lookalike.. Roxy is instantly drawn to Kai but in true Roxy form is very hesitant about pursuing... at first anyway... Kai is sweet and sexy but has a secret that shocks Roxy at first but endears her to him even more... I really enjoyed Roxy and Kai's story... they have their ups and downs, the odd misunderstanding along the way but their story is so sweet and heartwarming that you can't help but love these two characters.... and they both have crazy Grandmothers... but I have to say, Baggy was my absolute favourite... and it was so nice to see Roxy finally living in the moment and getting the happily ever after she so deserved... I can't wait for Ruthy's story in book two because she is such a loveable character too... so if you want something sweet and fun, then look no further because this is all of that with a little sas thrown in for good measure care of Baggy...

Twists and turns aplenty....

What a ride! This book has a little of everything... murder.. intrigue.. suspense.. romance.. vengeance and mystery.. the rollercoaster ride of emotion will hold your attention from start to finish and will leave you wanting more from these interesting characters.. as good as Derek and Harleigh's story was, I can't wait for Devon and Ivy's...

This was an interesting insight into a powerful Russian family and what it takes to live in their world... Glazov has a very different idea of romance but for him and his wife, it works... he is a ruthless man in and out of the house but he is also very loving and protective of what is his... this book gives you a little more insight into his relationships with his wife, children and extended family... definitely worth a listen if you like darker stories...

Some types of broken, aren't permanent....

I really enjoyed Glenn and Ava's story.... Glenn is a former Sheriff, who after a career altering case, divorce and a bad case of PTSD, returns home to help his injured older brother Arlo, run the family farm.... Things go from bad to worse when the brothers have to sign a loan contract with the bank to help with Arlos healthcare and the farm.
After dropping Arlo off to his ex wife and daughter to take to their sister's place, Glenn decides to take a weekend for himself and goes to stay at a motel on the way back to the farm... where he meets the gorgeous Ava... they hit it off straight away and after a fun filled day and an even more fun filled night together, they go their separate ways...
But their paths cross again after an incident of the farm... Glenn's insecurities kick in and he falsely accuses Ava of lying to him but thankfully Ava isn't deterred and with a little help from the local sheriff, gets Glenn to listen to her and help put things right...
This story has so much, deception, murder, love and loss that you'll be left eager to see what the next chapter will bring.... oh, and don't get me started on Glenn's ex, sure she had her reasons to be bitter towards Glenn, but that doesn't alter the fact, she's a real piece of work!
