We have listened to dozens of the what is and who was series and if you’ve listened to any of them, you know they’re not all created equally. This one has a hard-core left leaning agenda and is riddled with lies. As you make your way through the final chapters, it gets pretty unbearable. I found myself stopping to explain to my children that certain statements weren’t true, and I had to talk to them about listening for negativity towards group and positivity towards another, which will lean someone in a direction of writing wrong belief. It’s wrong to program children through a children’s book. Think of the groups in history who have behaved this way and their outcomes.

Something different.

I had a good idea of what this book would be about but the concepts throughout it caught me off guard regularly and made me think about things a different way. I get through a book about every 10 to 14 days the 14 days and I would say this is one of the best and the last 6 months. I recommend this for anybody in a leadership situation or if you're managing children :)
Lots of cool concepts I'm not sure I would have learned elsewhere

One of the better "Who Was" books

The state to the facts and told the story without any bias. The content explained intimate details thoroughly while avoiding any agenda. Kids can read this unsupervised

Manipulation at its finest

This book is loaded with great information if you can sift through the writers facts and speculations on how the president lived. Take notice of the facts and in separate out the agenda that is trying to be pushed. I do like the fact that I was able to tell my kids about the parts that were speculatory and that helps them understand this happens. Don't play for your children without guidance. I found it helpful to stop and replay while explaining these discrepancies to my kids. You have to analyse everything these days and this is one more case

So simple so good. This is just fantastic!

This is full of basic ideas that we all know and love but rarely remind ourselves of. I love little books like this or the dream manager that have helped me build my business as much as any other motivational or insightful speaker out there. These are ideas that are not only valuable for yourself but for your team family and I'm not sure there's a better way you can spend your time then using tools like this while recharging your battery

Made me want to read the full version.

The culture code seems to have a lot in common with other leadership books that discuss culture. I notice a lot of the ideas seemed to transcend so this is another good way to send those messages home if you don't feel the need to re read other books. If you have read a few books like this I do recommend this one as a quick refresher that can save you some time and get your head back on straight. That is usually what I need

Brokaw is such a powerful story teller

I was really taken back by most of the stories and his ability to tell these stories from the intimate details he received while meeting these people. The stories of the heroes in this book are a great selection and a must read for anyone who truly want to respect this generation and the struggles they endured. Bravo!!

I wish I had found this book 10 years ago.

I have been in sales for over 20 years and a business owner for about 15. Through each chapter I found myself analyzing decisions in situations I had been in that I could have done so much better. This was an amazing listen and I can't wait to review it again in a few months.

Wow! Direct, honest and just what I needed

This is exactly what I needed to hear and so much of what my coaches are not telling me. We do a crazy amount of business leadership and find ourselves not getting the right coaching and I think this is it. I have recommended this to most of the business owners I have run into in the last few weeks and can't wait to listen again!
