Historia
One summer won’t be enough.... Kaenon Geary was done fighting the small minds in his sleepy Texas town when he made his escape and never looked back. But now, for the first time in more than a decade, he’s returned to Braxton to spend the summer with his beloved grandmother - her final summer - and no longer recognizes the home he’d left behind all those years ago. Everything has changed. Everything but the man he’s never stopped wanting.

Five stars is not enough
Revisado: 11-28-23
I loved reading this book. It was sweet and loving and OMG, Jo just killed me with her dry wit and sarcasm. However, Mr. Boudreaux elevated the story to the next level with the amazing narration. I can't tell you how many times I cried with the combination of Mary's words and Mr. Boudreaux's voices. This was a lovely, bittersweet, heart gripping story for me.

Historia
The antique trade is not known for its life or death excitement, and Landry Carran is happy that he has to contend only with furniture polish, woodworm and his irascible boss. He gets all the thrills he needs at his favorite BDSM club, Scorch. Detective Gage Roskam is hunting stolen jewels taken from a Tokyo exhibition then shipped to Seattle. Mired in a deadly race involving the Yakuza, he doesn't have time to indulge in Dominant fantasies. When their worlds collide, neither Landry nor Gage expects things to get quite as complicated—or dangerous—as they do.

I love this story....
Revisado: 10-02-23
LM Somerton is a must-buy author for me. Her books are always filled with magnetic characters, full of love, and in some cases, more than a bit of nail biting. The Lucky Cat has Gage and Landry. I love Gage's grit and Landry's brattiness. Somehow the two merge together perfectly.
This is the first book in the series. I've already read the others, and they're all amazing.
I'm going to admit, it took me a bit to get into the narration style of Mr. Lewis. His voice for Gage wasn't what I was expecting, but as I listened, it grew on me, and by the end I was hoping he'd do book two as well.
Overall, I loved this story in both written and audio format, and eagerly await more (of any books) from LM Somerton.

Historia
There is something in the forest around L’Ange that is making the animals nervous. In fact, they are running by Tucker Flynn’s windows at all hours of the night and day and no matter what anyone says, it isn’t normal. Of course, neither is Tucker being stuck on the sprawling grounds of the shifter sanctuary in Maine, in the dead of winter. He just wants to go back to Phoenix...if only his alpha would let him. Tired of his concerns being dismissed, or worse, told that he’s flat-out wrong, Tucker sets out on his own, despite a broken ankle, to find proof of his suspicion.

Mr. Russo's performance brought this amazing story to life, and made the story I enjoyed reading become something more. How he slid from one voice to another, one accent to another, enthralled me.

Historia
Hart Jarrett was only supposed to be passing through Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He wasn’t supposed to get involved, no emotional entanglements to tie him down. Setting down roots was never part of the plan, not until he opened himself up to love. Too bad the man he bet on bailed and left Hart holding the ranch. There were two choices after that: run away, or stay and build something real from nothing. Nearly six years later, Hart has created a home and a life he never expected, with the help of his best friend and foreman, Morgan Brace.

I had always dismissed audiobooks....
Revisado: 12-29-20
And that was a mistake.
See, I thought I had the voices in my head the way I thought the characters were, but thanks to people like Mr. Boudreaux and others, I've discovered that a 2-D digital file becomes a 3-D experience that's not to be missed.
I read More Than Life months before I bought the audiobook, and I discovered the story takes on new depth, new meaning. Between Ms. Calmes's book and Mr. Boudreaux's narration, the book is a definite tour de force.

Historia
Fixer. Bodyguard. Advocate. Brann Calder is expected to play all these roles and more as a member of Torus Intercession, a security firm guaranteed to right what’s wrong. In the military, catastrophe was his specialty. Five months out of the service, Brann is still finding his way, so a new assignment might be just what he needs. Unless it includes two things sure to make a seasoned, battle-trained veteran nervous: life in a small town, and playing caregiver to two little girls.

Scott Smith is stellar
Revisado: 06-20-19
And the fact he’s narrating a book I enjoyed made it a double pleasure. I especially liked how he could change his voice to interject humor into the funny lines written by the author.
