Out of breath

I grew up with Bill Cullen and very much enjoy the content/story. But the narrator while having a very clear and pleasant voice, never breathes. Each chapter is like one long run-on sentence. With a different style, this book would have been 50% longer (a good thing). I like to be able think for a moment about what was just said, but there is absolutely no pause between sentences.

While his life story was very interesting and I enjoyed it, I found him telling the same story over and over in different contexts.

His fairness to all his subordinates and how he treated all people.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I really enjoyed Tina Fey's story, but the language was not what I would recommend to my daughter who was very interested in this book. I'm fine when bad language is in context, but it just seemed out of place in many instances.
