Historia
Shep Rose, star of Southern Charm and owner of Shep Gear, shares this irreverent and relatable collection of lessons and anecdotes about living an untamed, genuine life, raising hell yet having fun along the way. With his signature endearingly snarky voice, he explores topics as varied as the trials and tribulations of being a late bloomer, the ins and outs of ghosting, how to talk about politics without resorting to blows, the dos and don’ts of getting drunk abroad, and much more.

Watch the show and love it. He is a very likeable young man and his open/honest discussion of his life was refreshing. Could have listened for several more hours!!!

Loved the book but the music was annoying. At the start and end of each chapter there was this loud, inappropriate music. Topic was stern but music was loud and annoying.

Historia
When Joyce Smith's 14-year-old son John fell through an icy Missouri lake one winter morning, she and her family had seemingly lost everything. At the hospital, John lay lifeless for more than 60 minutes. They asked themselves, How could God do this to us? But Joyce was not ready to give up on her son. She mustered all her faith and strength and cried out to God in a loud voice to save her son. Immediately, her son's heart miraculously started beating again.

Good read
Revisado: 08-23-18
First off, so wonderful that this story had a positive outcome. But the tirade over "that night nurse" who apparently gave her son an "overdose" of propofol was too much. Yes, I am a nurse but regardless, nurses respond to orders given by doctors. She probably had orders for a range of that drug to be given at night to keep him sedated for some much needed rest from his mother's incessant questions and requests to "squeeze my hand." She also went off on the neurologist who suspected her son was having seizures. Anybody who was realistic, was in her mind, not helping her son. Prayer can only do so much so instead of griping about some of the care her son was given, why not be grateful. Trust and believe, he did not recover 100% on prayer! I am a Christian and believe in prayer, but this recovery was part miracle and part medicine.

Book was o.k. But narration was awful. There also seems to be some sort of background noise going on. Very distracting!

Worst recording ever!
Revisado: 08-28-16
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I enjoyed some of the book but the recording was simply awful. Sounded like pages ruffling or someone playing with a styrofoam cup thru most of the recording......do you guys ever listen to a playback?
Would you be willing to try another one of Burt Reynolds’s performances?
Not if he read it!
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from But Enough About Me?
Rerecord it!

Where does Love with a Chance of Drowning rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Not the best I have ever read but a very good and easy, light reading book.
What did you like best about this story?
How Torrey dealt with her fears.
Which scene was your favorite?
Gotta say the ending was good and not one I was expecting.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No...I read at night while laying in bed and getting sleepy...the quicker I finish....the less I have to read at bedtime.

What fans may not know is that she learned English from Eddie Murphy, got her American citizenship so she could be a beauty queen, and used to have a bad habit of stealing cars for fun.

Poor Little Princess
Revisado: 04-26-15
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Maybe.....if you are into a fluff Hollywood story.
If you’ve listened to books by Giuliana Rancic before, how does this one compare?
Have not read anything else.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
While I appreciate her agony and fear of a cancer diagnosis.....she is certainly not the first woman to have survived it. And with her wealth and connections, being able to arrange a conference call of experts to help her make a decision leaves me cold and hopefully she is aware that many cannot do that and must make a difficult decision alone or with family. I hope she is aware of how fortunate she is. And the endless "fear of flying" got obnoxious, especially when she was able to fly her and her new baby home on a private jet. Really G....get over yourself!
Was Going off Script worth the listening time?
Yes, but with some reservations. She occasionally comes across as a pompous Hollywood princess. Many don't have the ability to weigh all the options you have. And when you and Bill needed to "sell your mansion" in Illinois as it had too many rooms....OMG.

Please don't inflict any of your paranoia onto your sweet son.

Historia
Brooke Shields never had what anyone would consider an ordinary life. She was raised by her Newark-tough single mom, Teri, a woman who loved the world of show business and was often a media sensation all by herself. Brooke's iconic modeling career began by chance when she was only 11 months old, and Teri's skills as both Brooke's mother and her manager were formidable. But in private she was troubled and drank heavily.

The story of ME
Revisado: 01-02-15
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Someone who feels entitled and has a childhood that they perceive to be HORRIBLE despite growing up to be what some would consider wildly successful!
What could Brooke Shields have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
First off, let her poor, dead mom rest in peace! Toward the end of the book was a particularly horrible reference to making sure ALL of her mother was creamated after she died. I can also hardly wait until this spoiled princess has to take care of someone like her husband when he gets old and frail. Suppose she'll shove him in a nursing home so she won't have to deal with adult diapers.
Would you be willing to try another one of Brooke Shields’s performances?
Probably not......just to listen to her whine about postpartum depression when she has nannies and housekeepers to help her keep the household together. Grow up! Many women deal with this sad situation alone or with family.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from There Was a Little Girl?
Too many to list but especially the ones where she was at her mother's bedside as she lay dying. What a pathetic attempt to demonstrate love.
Any additional comments?
Grow up Brooke......let your mother rest in peace. Do you feel better now? If anything....you made your mother look worse.

Disappointing
Revisado: 04-26-13
Would you try another book from Jodi Picoult and/or the narrators?
Have always loved her books but this one was disappointing. Too much skipping around which caused me too lose interest multiple times. Finally gave up and tried to return but system seemed to want to force me to call and explain my reasons.
Has The Storyteller turned you off from other books in this genre?
Maybe.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Marrator seemed as disinterested in the book as I was.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Not really
Any additional comments?
No.
