Historia
What does it mean to "think Orthodox"? What are the unspoken and unexplored premises and presumptions underlying what Christians believe? Orthodox Christianity is based on preserving the mind of the early Church, its phronema. Dr. Jeannie Constantinou brings her more than 40 years' experience as a professor, Bible teacher, and speaker to bear in explaining what the Orthodox phronema is, how it can be acquired, and how that phronema is expressed in true Orthodox theology.

Historia
With Uther, Jack Whyte, author of the richly praised Camulod Chronicles, has given us a portrait of Uther Pendragon, Merlyn's shadow - his boyhood companion and closest friend. And the man who would sire the King of the Britons. From the trials of boyhood to the new cloak of adult responsibility, we see Uther with fresh eyes. He will travel the length of the land, have adventures, and, through fate or tragedy, fall in love with the one woman he must not have.

Regurgitated Content
Revisado: 12-14-22
When you watch a movie from a series filled with more clips of previous episodes than new content, that’s what this book felt like to me. I walk away feeling slightly cheated.

Pronunciation Issues
Revisado: 01-09-21
The story is well-written. The audio contains many basic mispronunciations, including character names. It’s very distracting.

Everyone knows the story-how Arthur pulled the sword from the stone, how Camelot came to be, and about the power struggles that ultimately destroyed Arthur's dreams. But what of the time before Arthur and the forces that created him?

Great Plot Sullied by Unnecessary Sex Scenes
Revisado: 09-11-20
I believe this book has a captivating plot. The author has a good writing style. He drops the book’s enjoyability by randomly adding unnecessary, gratuitous sex scenes into the story that almost feel like an afterthought.

Great Story, Horrible Narration
Revisado: 11-02-19
We all encounter a narrator from time to time whom we dislike, but it is highly unusual for thousands of customers to share the same complaint. Terry Goodkind invested weeks of his life writing this story, then the narrator destroyed his hard work. Jim Bond has a monotone voice that will put you to sleep within minutes of beginning the book. Bond will wake you up shortly thereafter with some of the worst "voices" you've ever heard a narrator attempt when telling a story. The worst part? Not-so-brilliant Brilliant Audio used him to narrate several other books in this series. It makes a consumer want to cry tears of anger and frustration. All of the books Bond narrated in this series need to be redone by someone else.
