An eye-opening and a new perspective

Every part of this book caught my attention. I could not stop listening to it. It felt like I am listening to rich stories with many new and valuable lessons. I am a Bible teacher who tries to make the Bible real for people, so this book was after my heart.
Now I am seeing some parables in more depth and understand the metaphors as they were told in Eastern culture.
For the first time, I thought of the story of the good samaritan and how Jesus would tell it these days. Now I understood what did Jesus mean in Matthew 16:28. I have a better understanding of shame/honor culture, Biblical stand on slavery, and gender equality.

This is the best book I got on Audible!

It has been a long time since I felt that I cannot let go of this book till I finish it!! this is one of those books that you want to keep reading to learn more. I am very fond of the author and his message, his messages changed my life a long time ago when I was a college student, and even today his book made a difference in my life. I enjoyed it every part of the book, and every story.
