Historia
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. And when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems too good to be true.

Hate this one dimensional writing!
Revisado: 08-27-24
Hate-listening to this hoping the story would get better. It’s the characters that ruin it. There is no depth to Lily or exploration or awareness of her motivations and actions. She seems selfish and very unrealistic. I keep wishing for more but it never comes.

Historia
Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date. But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

Hate the characters and insanely shallow storytelling. Missed opportunity to tell a good story and dig deeper into character motivations and balances.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Revisado: 08-14-24
I wanted to like this book but just cannot get past the typical book club characters. They all seem to be so similar that it takes the joy out the discovery.

Well told, well organized and mind opening descriptions of experiences. The author does not try to convince the reader, but merely asks that you keep an open mind as he relates the stories.

A beautiful tribute to author’s family but…
Revisado: 08-14-24
I did not dislike this book, but I had to stop listening because it could not hook me. I applaud the innovative and courageous concept and effort. A lot of thought and time has gone into this work. It is a sweet and genuine tribute to the author’s family, and the love she has for them. I just could not get pulled in.

Historia
Twenty-five years after the end of the war, Noah Ainsworth is still preoccupied with those perilous, exhilarating years as a British SOE operative in France. A head injury sustained on his final operation has caused frustrating gaps in his memory—in particular about the agent who saved his life during that mission gone wrong, whose real name he never knew, nor whether she even survived the war.

Historia
In the near future, a civil servant is offered the salary of her dreams and is, shortly afterward, told what project she’ll be working on. A recently established government ministry is gathering “expats” from across history to establish whether time travel is feasible—for the body, but also for the fabric of space-time.

Fun, romantic and interesting throughout
Revisado: 08-14-24
The characters and plot are a fun and interesting take on time travel, and some basic questions we have all asked if it were possible to travel through time. It goes deeper to weave human understanding, cultural perceptions and political issues into a story that helps you understand the characters in a way that is funny, makes you question some norms and has a romantic overtone.

As far as Jolene is concerned, her interactions with her colleagues should start and end with her official duties as an admin for Supershops, Inc. She vents her grievances in petty email postscripts, then changes the text color to white so no one can see. That is until one of her secret messages is exposed. Her punishment: sensitivity training (led by the suspiciously friendly HR guy, Cliff) and rigorous email restrictions.

Deeper than expected and lovely story
Revisado: 08-14-24
The main character made some hilarious moves in the office that we can all relate to, but is also very frustrating at times when the insecurity holds her back from obvious actions. Still, a good journey to enjoy and laugh while hoping she finds her way.
