Amazing

My friend recommended this book and I won’t lie I was a little wary because I’m not usually one for mysteries but WOW I was enrapt the entire time this was so good. Every time I thought I had it figured out I was thrown for another twist yet none of them seemed completely out of left field. This is a stunning work of art with so much great representation that I just couldn’t put it down. Whatever Frances White writes next I’m reading no questions asked!!

Probably too old for it

It was decent but I definitely struggled to get through it because one I’m not the target audience and two this book is just too long (a problem I have with a lot of her books) it really only got interesting for me during the last hour and a half. I’m glad I finally read it as I’ve been trying to read it for years now but I probably won’t read it again

Great but I wish I had more

Lemme start with saying I love this book, I love all of Mason Deaver’s books, the story was so cute and charming and I love getting to watch these two fall in love. The ending makes perfect sense for this story and it was honestly the happiest it could be but I still felt a little lacking, I think that’s kinda the point as I know I’m going to be sitting with it for a while thinking about it more. Overall it’s definitely worth the read and I know I’m definitely going to be reading this again!!

I kept hearing so much praise for Tatiana’s performance but I prefer the original. The story was amazing as always but I would be pulled out of it sometimes by the way it was narrated I could kinda tell it was her first time

Disappointed but not surprised

This book is over 14 hours and yet it feels like nothing happened. It claims to be a slow burn enemies to lovers yet they are barely enemies before spending on night together and declaring their undying love for them. It’s take like 50 chapters for them to even meet in the first place and instead of taking all that time to really flesh out the world or the characters it focuses on the same court drama that is so repetitive. The fmc was at least semi interesting if not very predictable and I honestly couldn’t care less about the mmc.

Honestly save your money/credit and don’t get this. I’ve given Cass chance after chance but her books just don’t capture the same magic the selection and the siren did. That couple with her support of a very homophobic church it’s safe to say this was my final straw.

Simply beautiful

That dedication sums it up perfectly. This book is simply beautiful the characters are so real and the story is simple but in the best way possible. The dialogue is amazing and watching Neil and Wyatt fall in love was everything.

Go read this book and all of their others because they are a wonderful author and storyteller!

Literally why

I don’t usually write reviews but this book really angers me. When I first started reading and Sera was talking about her lack of attraction to the other Cerulean I thought that maybe we’re going to get an aromantic protagonist, which I’ve never seen happen before, but no she just ends up being straight. I feared this may happen and as soon as I did I dropped it.

Of course there’s nothing wrong with straight people but Sera’s race is entirely female so it honestly doesn’t make sense and seems like a slap in the face for queer people.

I wouldn’t say there’s much else going for this book. The characters were semi interesting but the plot is very slow going and it can be such a chore to get through.

So all in all if you were expecting something sapphic then I’m sorry to disappoint but it’s not coming from this book.

Wow just wow!

I’ve been looking for book with nonbinary protagonists for awhile and this was one of the first I found and it was amazing. For the first time I felt represented in a book as I heavily relate to Ben and their issues both with being nonbinary and struggles with family.

The romance was adorable and Nathan is truly the sweetest person anyone could ask for!

I hope I can hear more about Ben and Nathan’s story in the future because I am not ready to let these characters go!
