Brennan is a great writer. This book did not disappoint. The series lost one of the best supporting actors and one was a near loss. Lucy and her team break another case that kept me guessing right along with them.
The narrator did distract until I learned not to depend on her voices to know who was talking.

Good book, but the worst in series.

Brennan only writes good to great books. I enjoyed each book in this series, but this was the worst - but still good. Still worth a token.

Max found out much about her mom, but the bad guy was not really bad til the end. The take down was quick with little description. And a good guy died. It could have been much better.

Shattered: A great title for a story that shatters

I completely enjoyed the book and found it hard to take breaks from listening. I have binged listened since picking up the Quinn & Costa series, which I loved. The best thing about this author is her ability build and maintain strong characters that are believable. I really like the character of Maxine and several times I wondered why Max took a backseat in this story. I have not listened to the Kincaid series so Lucy and family were all new to me. I would like for Lucy and Max to consult together in future books. Good dynamics between the two. This book has a sad and disturbing focus, but it was well written and good finally triumphed. I am sure that I will read all of AB’s books!

Quinn & Costa Series - Next book please!!

The Quinn & Costa Series is a must read!!
Book 4 is probably my favorite of the series, but they are all great! Brennan made the characters strong and full of personality. I feel like I know them. I have already heard this series 4 times!!! It is a favorite go-to!

Unexpected twists and turns make Outfox outstanding!

The story is well-written, the characters are developed and believable. The twists and turns are often unexpected and surprising. If I write much more I would give them away. This book is well worth a credit!!! The narrators voice takes getting use to, but does not distract from the story over much.

I loved the story and just bought book two in the series! Michael and Brana’s story began a little slow, until they met, then it was hard to turn it off! It is one where you get to know the whole family and look forward to hearing every story. This was my first listen to a story by Reynolds. I look forward to the next one.

Just okay

The Immortal Guardians is one of my favorite series. I had high hopes for Cliff's story. I did enjoy how Cliff's life was filled in by this book, but the big scenes had already played out in other books. There could have been a whole story written from the point where Seth's father intervened....but that was the end!!! I was disappointed.

Art, Action, and Amore

Loved this book. My favorite by Nora Roberts. Will listen again. Reid is the chief of police that every island and artist need.

A background character was brought to life!

In earlier books, Stan was someone in the background who was called in “as back up,” but never singled out until he died/disappeared. Great job bringing him to life as the main character, but I think the reason around his earlier demise could have been better developed. Susan’s link to Amy was genius. Susan and Stan provided another must hear in the Immortal Guardian saga.

Disappointing...although most of this story happened away from David’s home, the problem at the end of Book 7 was barely mentioned. What happened to the ‘twelve changed gifted ones?’

Surprisingly Really Good!

I must say that I was surprised by the story and the characters. Draven spent time developing the characters and made them come to life. It was almost a 5-star book, which still surprises me.
