It's getting tiresome
Revisado: 12-10-23
After reading 12 books in this series, and several other series by Ms Lily Harper Hart, I'm wondering if she feels that all women are entitled, spoiled, winey little brats who throw screaming temper tantrums whenever they don't get exactly what they want exactly when they want it. And their sweet tempered boyfriends or husbands think it's cute and sexy.
I love fiction and don't enjoy spending my free time reading or listening to real life at it's worse. But can't these honorable gentlemen help the love of their life grow up a bit? Ms Lily, are you telling young women that they can act like this and the men in their lives will happily put up with it? I find that much harder to believe than magic.

Predictable? Not really
Revisado: 07-30-23
Yes, there is always a happy ending. That's why most of us read this type of story. What's not predictable is how the solutions develop. Who wants more of "2023 Reality"? I sustain my hopeful prayers for this world by not spending all of my time immersed in reality... with a bit of happy fantasy.
The narrator does a good job, but I can only take a little at a time. After listening to an Audible, I usually have to read the next 2 or 3 books. lol

A. wonderful series!
Revisado: 06-29-23
I like a lot of different types of books. You his series was very difficult to put down. The characters were well developed to the point you could visualize the expressions on their face as the dialogue went along. Lots of twists and never predictable. Very enjoyable!

Good but not great - sorry
Revisado: 02-14-23
The story itself is very good, but in need of a better proofreader. Wording and choice of words could definitely be improved upon. The narrator sounds like she isn't very experienced. Tone of voice was very similar to the Aussie AI voice on my kindle fire, which is good for an AI, but sad for an Audible book. This author has great potential with a more experienced proofreader and narration. I definitely enjoyed the story.

Historia
After dying and being reborn into a world that's built like a video game, Jim has found himself stuck in a very old-world style new-player zone for low-level adventurers. Unfortunately, the zone fell out of use centuries ago, and no one told the monsters they were supposed to take it easy on the Noobs. Even worse, the only new player around is Jim. Jim has been given an opportunity, and he'll do his best to take advantage of it.

Beware! Foul Language
Revisado: 01-01-23
The narrator is mono-toned and uncomfortable to listen to.
I think Audible books should have ratings for foul language and/or sexual activity. It is being read out loud. And besides being put in an awkward social situation, some folks don't want to buy books of that nature.

Enjoyable story
Revisado: 12-03-22
What a privilege to listen to a skilled narrator reading a well developed and original plotline! The book I listened to before this one was read by a woman who seemed to think she was reading to 1st graders and it was as bad as fingernails down a chalkboard! The storyline seemed to be intended for 1st graders as well.
This book was very enjoyable and I'll be looking for the books that follow.

Disappointing. I can't believe it was published!
Revisado: 12-01-22
The narrator was squeeky and whiny. I tried changing speed but nothing helped. It was if she was reading to young children. The story was poorly developed. Situations developed in one sentence and were over in the next. Maybe I've read too many books by really good authors that I'm very spoiled. I was so grateful when it ended. The only reason I kept going is that I spent money on it!

Why are woman fictional doormats?
Revisado: 10-25-22
Why do authors depict women as spineless doormats who do nothing but stand there and allow men they don't even know to verbally abuse them??
I realize that the validity of who will get the inheritance is the crisis for the story line but in reality, if a living trust is already set up for a named individual, regardless of how related, another relative can't step in and lay claim to it.
I know this is fiction, but please pick a believable situation. Could a child use their candy sucker to knock someone unconscious ? It's just not believable.
I had to stop reading because the situation became stupidly unbelievable. Dear Ms. Black, I was enjoying your writing up until I reached this point. Well, mostly, I still hate seeing anyone just accept being verbally abused by lies and not defend themselves.
