The ending!

It was brilliantly narrated. I actually bought this as I thought it would be a good listen even with my tweens around, how wrong I was! It was a brilliant listen but not for tween ears. I found myself suddenly needing to turn it off. I loved the past stories of the parents, the how they are who they are, the understanding you then develop of their marriage. I wanted to look after dear PJ. Just brilliant. The ending though. Goodness me. I already know this book will haunt me for some time.

So much whining and complaining

I just couldn’t finish this book, I really tried. Got about halfway through and have just abandoned it. Two privileged women, whining and complaining about their lives; complaining about the other one; women being nasty to each other and sniping. Both inherently unlikeable characters. It had so much promise but that really put me off. No idea if it’s worth sticking out. I never return audiobooks but this one had to go.

Really enjoyed this book. I would love to know what happens to these women now it’s finished. The story had me grinning and crying in parts. A really honest story of female friendships and mother daughter complications but ultimately their love.
