Historia
Meet Assistant District Attorney Lettie Portman, a sex-crimes prosecutor whose past demands justice. When a 14-year-old girl is savagely attacked by her mother's live-in boyfriend, Lettie is called to the hospital. There, she meets a sweet young girl whose only goal is to go to school and come home to a safe environment. But mom's boyfriend makes the girl's world anything but safe. Soon, the abuse gets worse, and Lettie, the prosecutor, goes to the grand jury with the case. Two juries later, the abuser is still loose on the streets.

Historia
Inside the jar are several scrolls written by the Essenes 2,000 years earlier, before the Great Jewish Revolt, including one legendary scroll engraved on silver that speaks of what may be the great Lost Treasures of Solomon buried around Jerusalem—consistent with the predictions of the fabled Copper Scroll discovered in 1947 near the Dead Sea.

Read compile Fr Dominic series.
Revisado: 05-04-23
I have read the entire Fr Dominic series. Very enjoyable. Somewhat predictable. If I had a criticism it would be the excessive discussion of their meals. If another book comes out I’ll be sure to read it. Excellent voice artist!

Great Book
Revisado: 08-20-22
What a wonderful book. Filled with the story of a loving dog. The dog is loving and committed to his humans bringing joys to them and they to him. As my dog is sleeping next to me I hope he knows how much I love him. I know that someday he will be with me forever and he can be with me, my other dogs waiting with my family.

Tom Brady The Patriots and Tampa Bay
Revisado: 10-30-21
Extremely well written. The author presents a life long story of Tom Brady and his career as a Patriot ending with his Super Bowl win with Tampa. Surprises in the book is the discussion of Spy gate and Deflate-gate. The former far more serious and the latter more retribution than cheating. After reading this I think and cheer for Tampa Bay and it’sQ B!

Historia
In their runaway best seller Game Change, Mark Halperin and John Heilemann captured the full drama of Barack Obama’s improbable, dazzling victory over the Clintons, John McCain, and Sarah Palin. With the same masterly reporting, unparalleled access, and narrative skill, Double Down picks up the story in the Oval Office, where the president is beset by crises both inherited and unforeseen - facing defiance from his political foes, disenchantment from the voters, disdain from the nation’s powerful money machers, and dysfunction within the West Wing.

Double Dissappointment
Revisado: 03-09-14
What would have made Double Down better?
I would like to have seen more inside information such as, Eric Fehrnstrom's role. What was going on in that campaign?
Would you ever listen to anything by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann again?
Yes!
How could the performance have been better?
I would have liked one of the authors do the narration.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment
Any additional comments?
No matter how much people try to humanize Mitt Romney it just does not work. It strikes me that in the book, and in a recent documentary Mitt Romney never, not once, addresses the plight of people who are, by no fault of their own economically suffering. He is just so indifferent.
