Historia
No skill is more important in today's world than being able to think about, understand, and act on information in an effective and responsible way. What's more, at no point in human history have we had access to so much information, with such relative ease, as we do in the 21st century. But because misinformation out there has increased as well, critical thinking is more important than ever. These 24 rewarding lectures equip you with the knowledge and techniques you need to become a savvier, sharper critical thinker in your professional and personal life.

Denial & Irony much?
Revisado: 02-21-23
A good description of how our brains function and think and how this can miss lead us in the world. We are not as attentive as we believe and can be easily distracted.
However, my beef with this lecture series is the speaker is overly skeptical and chalks up your everyday reality to imagination. He talks on how good we are at pattern recognition, but then says if you think you perceive something, you're wrong, it's all false and it's just you reading meaning into randomness, or you trying to fit your reality to actually reality.
If we are so good at pattern recognition and intuition, how would this be possible?
I value critical thinking and skepticism, but this just seems all pure denial, but then again, that's just my brain reading meaning into where there is none, right? I'm suffering from chronic cognitive dissonance. My bad.

Great for shifting your mind in bjj
Revisado: 07-17-22
Awesome story, though you quickly realise that you're a lazy jiuteiro, your belt and skills are not real compared to, and will probably go no where and achieve not a fraction of what Rickson has.
Many life lessons in this book.

It is a great story that provides flags for one to look out for in real life. Not as powerful or a deep as some other dystopian books, but still very much valuable content, with many memorable quotes and lessons. Good naration.

Historia
This is the story of a man who said that he would stop the motor of the world - and did. Is he a destroyer or a liberator? Why does he fight his hardest battle not against his enemies, but against the woman he loves? Tremendous in scope, breathtaking in its suspense, Atlas Shrugged is Ayn Rand's magnum opus and launched an ideology and a movement. With the publication of this work in 1957, Rand gained an instant following and became a phenomenon.

Speechless
Revisado: 06-21-18
I have no words to describe how much I love this book. Ayn Rand has very much put into words, values I already hold. Fantastic story, with strong characters. However, the book is very much a political manifesto, depending on your work ethic or stance you will love or hate Ayn's masterpiece. I have always worked for myself, independent and self productive, I value the philosophy presented here. Chris Hunt's portrayal of James Taggart will leave you livid that ever a sorry sack of .... could ever exist. Any parent who knows an honests days work should require their children read this book, and learn its value. I am John Galt.

Sale'ception
Revisado: 05-18-18
First off, I like Jordan narrating the book, I definitely believe authors reading their own material best brings the material to life. With that said, the book was more of a sales pitch for his Straight line course; there were quite a few good nuggets of information, and a lot of fluff and self plugging--the book could have been shorter.

A personal of oneself and others
Revisado: 04-27-18
Mr. Peterson eloquently puts forth solid traditional guidance, explores the many aspects of the human condition, and draws meaning from parts of the bible. It is evident that he has strong faith, and this faith is connected to the interpretation he derives. I believe in this book, many great tips for look or alternative view points are provided, even for a non-Christian. Love Jordan or hate him, this book it worth listening to, and it is a mirror that points are the reader, just depends if the reader has the stones to confront this mirror.
