John Grisham, watch out! Who knew I needed a lesbian romance about environmental engineering and cost accounting where soil samples and invoices take down the greedy corporate executives? I love this book because it centers real people doing ordinary things. Their integrity and bravery make the story extraordinary. The characters’ romantic arc is all the more interesting because of the disastrous problems they uncover at their corporate jobs and how they work together to blow the whistle on their company.

The characters and story were incredible. I could not stop listening. I fell in love with Pepper and Opal and each of their unique beautiful neurodivergent brains. Reading this book felt like being shown a mirror and I felt so much compassion for these two. Incredible!
