Historia
Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

I loved this natural disaster story. I had not known that Michael Crighton had died and felt that the writing was excellent. Waiting for the movie!

De-virginated?
Revisado: 10-05-15
Are you kidding me? I never knew that was a word, and the author uses it not once but twice!
I found the story get more annoying as I went along. Not my kind of protagonist .
However I did suffer through to the end so I guess that counts for something ...

Detective Stephen Moran has been waiting for his chance to join Dublin’s Murder Squad when 16-year-old Holly Mackey arrives in his office with a photo of the boy with the caption: “I know who killed him". Stephen joins with Detective Antoinette Conway to reopen the case - beneath the watchful eye of Holly’s father, fellow detective Frank Mackey. The private underworld of teenage girls turns out to be more mysterious and more dangerous than the detectives imagined.

Teen Age Drivel
Revisado: 09-30-14
Almost through this book and I finally have to admit that I can't wait for it to end. I am a huge Tana French fan and was really looking forward to revisiting Holly and Steven. The best part about the book is when Frank Mackey appears... brash and familiar as he was in Faithful Place. Like other reviewers, I dislike the female narrator, and I was truly disturbed by the eight teenage girls... are my nieces really like that? Listening to this drivel almost makes one pick up start to pick up their language (it seemed to me that Steven started to).
I will go back to my previous Tana French's and hope that the next book gets back on track.

Sad, Thought Provoking
Revisado: 02-25-13
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The author was the narrator, and her voice was flat. I think a better narrator would improve this book
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Her flat tone
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes, I think I would!
Any additional comments?
Very thought provoking. I am now more empathic with my 90 year old mother. I also thought about how I would feel if I got AD. I am grateful for my working brain!

Historia
It's 1964 and 10-year-old Felix is sure of a few things: the birds and the bees are puzzling, television is magical, and this is one Christmas he'll never forget. LBJ and Lady Bird are in the White House, Meet the Beatles is on everyone's turntable, and Felix Funicello (distant cousin of the iconic Annette!) is doing his best to navigate fifth grade - easier said than done when scary movies still give you nightmares and you bear a striking resemblance to a certain adorable cartoon boy.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little book...I haven't read any of Wally Lamb's others. Since I grew up in the same time and vicinity as the narrator, this book rang so true to me. Nothing like growing up Catholic!

Interesting
Revisado: 09-07-10
Another reviewer suggested that I read "The Constant Princess" first, so I did. I loved it, and I loved The Other Boleyn Girl. I had never paid that much attention to Henry 8th before.
It got me watching The Tudors, a Showtime production and I'm totally hooked!
