It was like the second half was missing

King Liam is Dying and his son Pi is cursed by his mother's, Queen Oleander. wicked brother Red Star. Queen Oleander sends many troops to capture her brother but none return finally she sends Torsten Unger, her head knight, to find him along with the greatest thief to capture her brother and a doll he stole from her son. The quest is fraught with many strange creatures and a few wizards. The ending of this story is like a cliff hangar waiting for the sequel.

You won't believe the killer.

A Sheriff's deputy, Shelby Lake who is the sheriff's daughter by adoption, is involved in the case of a lost ten year old boy. Lost without a trace she searches clues trying to find out who abducted the boy and what happened to him while simultaneously caring for her father, the sheriff, who is slipping into senile dementia. There is quite a colorful cast of towns folk who are involved in the plot as she goes about trying to solve the disappearance of the boy but the killer will surprise you.

A futuristic look at what a future world might be.

A futuristic world where there are classes of people with a ruling class living in a dome above the rest of the people. Science has learned to create cyborgs, part human and part machine that compete against each other for superiority. Alita is supposed to be the heroin cyborg who breaks down the class structure with the help of her creator "father".

A good look into artificial insemination

Paige Robinson, a geneticist, uses artificial insemination to conceive her son miles, years later she is in a serious relation
with Liam and her son fails to bond with him. The friendships that she makes lead to some revealing situations while she tries to help her son to cope with not knowing his real father. It was well written and explains a lot about what biologically bonds fathers to their children.

Hard to follow

This book is set in several places and times and shifts from one to the other leaving you unsure when or where you are. I found the plot very confusing and hard to follow.

Well written story of a strong woman

Elizabeth is thrust into a life that she is not really ready for and has to learn from someone she doesn't trust. She is forced to keep fleeing from someone she fears because he is obsessed with her and destroys any relation she develops. In the end she finally finds someone willing to help her and finally wins. I thought it was well written and well read.
