very poor narration
Revisado: 09-25-24
when every word is emphasized, nothing is emphasized, and it makes it very tiring to listen to. it has an infomercial audio quality that is annoying. it could have been a better book by contemt but it's painful to listen to

Historia
We are in the midst of a massive media revolution. For the first time in history, ordinary people around the world have the ability to create, distribute, and consume content instantly, from anywhere, using connected devices. The massive increase in media "noise" created by these consumers and devices creates an entirely new situation that makes conventional marketing models obsolete. And yet countless companies and marketing organizations continue to rely on traditional models, assuming that their "campaigns" will sway customers. They couldn't be more wrong.

Terrific content, flat narration
Revisado: 07-14-20
Really enjoyed the premise of marketing context and the expertise of Mathew Sweezey. My regret with this audio book is the flat narration. I've had to relisten to parts of the narration because the inflection on a particular point was flat or out of sync with emphasis. After listening to other podcasts with Sweezey, I really think he should have narrated the book himself.

Big hopes but little meat to the content
Revisado: 01-18-18
I praise the intention of this book and found pleasant, but I believe it lacked meat. Maybe it's intended for new Christians?

Historia
What's your story? In the hypercompetitive world of Silicon Valley, this question has replaced "What's your pitch?" It's another way of asking, "Who are you?" The art of the pitch is nothing short of a survival skill. If an entrepreneur can't convince an investor in 10 minutes that a business idea has potential, that is often the end of it. If a project manager in a large enterprise can't win support from other stakeholders, his or her project is at risk.

Great sleep aid, horrible perfect pitch
Revisado: 12-16-16
The narration was very poor. Voice was soothing and soft and slow and horribly dull. I had to increase speed to 150% just to stay awake to hear the content. If this audio book itself is supposed to be a "perfect pitch," it failed completely. Wow.

Painfully dull
Revisado: 11-02-16
I made it about halfway but just couldn't stand the sheer boredom of listening to the reader. Also the writing was horrible. Just get to the point already. Kind of makes me laugh that I couldn't finish this book even though that was the whole point of reading it.
