Historia
From Amazon's Alexa to Japan's robot chefs, technology is becoming increasingly saturated into our everyday lives. Previous technological revolutions have come and gone, but this one is different. For the first time in economic history, productivity and employment are diverging, suggesting that humans are contributing less to economic growth.

Kind of a turd
Revisado: 01-03-20
As expected lots of conjecture with the occasional fact mixed in. By itself that wouldn’t be the worst thing and I could have got past it. Sadly you couldn’t go one chapter without the authors political opinions. Just sad!

Historia
Thor's hammer is missing...again. The thunder god has a disturbing habit of misplacing his weapon - the mightiest force in the Nine Worlds. But this time the hammer isn't just lost, it has fallen into enemy hands. If Magnus Chase and his friends can't retrieve the hammer quickly, the mortal worlds will be defenseless against an onslaught of giants. Ragnarok will begin. The Nine Worlds will burn. Unfortunately, the only person who can broker a deal for the hammer's return is the gods' worst enemy, Loki - and the price he wants is very high.

Wow this sucks

I got 75% done and just couldn’t take it anymore. I wanted to like this book but I can only stand being preached to for so long, especially when I disagree with what the author is selling.
You have “gender fluids” who are not even decent people just mean cause they have some imaginary chip on their shoulder. If anything this character should have been more relatable. All this jackass does is spout bullshit, be mean and demand that people except him/her at all times no matter what they say that contradicts what they said earlier. The whole argument can be summed up if Magnus actually had a backbone during this exchange, “why not just stay with something and stay with it even if it is they/them? Wouldn’t that be easier?” Alex response “easy for who? You?”. Magnus should have said “yes, me and everyone else you’ve ever interacted with. You are an asshat on a power trip that demands we call you whatever you want when you feel like changing it all to make you comfortable. If you want to take a dump in the girls room that’s fine but stop demanding I have to keep making you feel comfortable while you continue to make me uncomfortable. If nothing else at least stop threatening to be violent because you change your assignment on a whim and people are still on whatever you felt like an hour ago.”
Worst still is the whole story gets subverted by Islamist. I mean wtf? Why? Believe what you want but don’t say the Gods these people see aren’t actually gods and Allah is still right. Why? What purpose does this serve?
It’s just a dumping group of liberal policies and thoughts and have no bearing on the story or the religion the author is subverting.

It’s all your fault

You’d be better off getting a book of navy seal quotes and adding an hour of colloquiums. I’m shocked this was recommended. Basic information and feel good advice. Unrelatable for anyone over 25.
