Historia
The battle of the dead was won, but at a great cost. Sion, leader of the Mist Village, was left with only pain and regret as Richter was claimed by the abyss. What no one but the abandoned chaos seed knows is that he narrowly avoided the curse of the lich Singh, a curse that still hangs above his head. Now, surrounded by miles of darkness and tons of crushing rock, Richter has to find his way back into the light.

So much FILLER GARBAGE!
Revisado: 06-08-20
Nick Podehl SAVED this shit show. Literally.
1. More then a third of it is STATS and upgrades etc.
2. A whole chapter on Richter getting sick. While Podehl made that part hilarious, it’s honestly just sad.
3. These cliff hangers are getting tedious. Literally the second the book gets good, and it’s over. Jesus.
This series is an absolute favorite of mine, and Podehl makes it stellar, but this book was just a waste of everyone’s time. This should have been a MUCH longer book. With HALF the stats.
If I have to read or hear “Put another way,” one more time. Jesus dude, get another phrase. Especially since WE DON’T NEED YOU TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TWICE!!
Also get a thesaurus, prolific and prodigious are NOT the only words you can use. 🙄

WHAT?!
Revisado: 04-20-20
HOW COULD SHE LEAVE IT LIKE THAT?!?!
For the record this is clearly NOT the last of this series, but the author seems to be contractually obligated to put off a direct sequel to KDT so that she doesn’t create competition for her other series.
THIS SERIES IS AMAZING! I have NEVER sped through a series so quickly, and I am an avid & voracious reader.
Trust me. You want to read them all. Feel free to join me in writing to her publisher that she MUST BE ALLOWED to finish this STUNNING series!

Amazing as always BUT WTF?!?!
Revisado: 07-11-18
This whole series is well written, fast paced, with fully realized characters you will grow to love and hate accordingly.
This one however has a change to the protagonist that has me SEETHING! I get that it doesn’t much matter since there is only one book left (which I also am pissed about) but COME ON!!! No spoilers, but that last bit just makes my heart ache and my teeth grind.
Still amazing regardless.

STOP. You should not have touched this flyer with your bare hands. NO, don't put it down. It's too late. They're watching you. My name is David Wong. My best friend is John. Those names are fake. You might want to change yours. You may not want to know about the things you'll read on these pages, about the sauce, about Korrok, about the invasion, and the future. But it's too late. You touched the book. You're in the game. You're under the eye. The only defense is knowledge. You need to read this book, to the end. Even the part with the bratwurst. Why?

Fantastic
Revisado: 08-25-17
Wonderfully performed and well written. The characters are well rounded and fully realized.
Lovers of Pathfinder and D&D, I feel will have a special understanding and connection with the story's core plot. However, anyone with a love of fantasy can enjoy it completely.
Bravo.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

He smiles because soon, the last of humanity who survived the great flood will meet its end, too. And he should know. He's going to play a big part in it. Our angel usually doesn't get to do fieldwork, and if he does well, he's certain he'll get a big promotion.

Excellent story but...
Revisado: 04-29-16
The novel itself is fabulous! So complex but still very easy to follow and the characters are all well developed. The overall narration was great.
BUT it seems Oliver Wyman sucks at narrating women. His voice is fine. It the tone. EVERY SINGLE woman sounded depressed and exasperated no matter what was happening. 😒 It made some of the jokes fall very flat. Fail dude.
