Historia
Deep below the University, there is a dark place. Few people know of it: a broken web of ancient passageways and abandoned rooms. A young woman lives there, tucked among the sprawling tunnels of the Underthing, snug in the heart of this forgotten place. Her name is Auri, and she is full of mysteries. The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a brief, bittersweet glimpse of Auri’s life, a small adventure all her own. At once joyous and haunting, this story offers a chance to see the world through Auri’s eyes.

Not a story for everyone

But it was a story for me. I was very touched by the end note, thank you Pat Rothfuss for the story and letting people know that there is someone who understands.

Historia
Melanie is a very special girl. Dr. Caldwell calls her "our little genius". Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class. When they come for her, Sergeant keeps his gun pointing at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don't like her. She jokes that she won't bite, but they don't laugh. Melanie loves school. She loves learning about spelling and sums and the world outside the classroom and the children's cells. She tells her favorite teacher all the things she'll do when she grows up.

Amazing!
Revisado: 11-23-17
I read a loooot of books and rarely I am surprised or impressed... and it’s even more rare for me to actually be stirred enough to write a review. But this book was not what I expected. In the new fad of dystopian and zombie novels, this was an original take on the idea. It had some great concepts, strong realistic characters whose actions stayed true to their reality, and a dynamic character in Melanie, who you watch grow from an innocent child. Death, rebirth, evolution, humanity. You won’t be sorry if you give this one a read.

Historia
Every morning, A wakes in a different person’s body, a different person’s life. There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere. It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply....

original concept
Revisado: 07-04-16
I am always reading and sometimes you get books that are entertaining enough to pass the time, then sometimes you get novels that suck you in and CHANGE your perspective and the way you think. This book is the latter. A very uniquely laid out plot and dynamic characters that you can relate to. It's rare I find a book I love because of both the author's character voice/ literary prowess AND that the story itself is something original. I highly recommend this novel.

Definitely a YA novel through and through but its a cute modern spin on a the classic "star crossed" love concept. Endearing dynamic characters that you can follow through the series in different focuses.

But one thing Elowyn has not yet shared with Kassey is that she checked the organ donor box on her newly acquired driver's license. A classic McDaniel novel
Revisado: 06-05-16
This novel embodies everything I love about Lurlene McDaniel. As one of her newer novels, I feel it can appeal to both a younger as well as a more mature audience. Explores emotional concepts related to love, loss and health related issues like almost all of her books but still has a unqiue spin on it. I'd recommend it.

I love this novel and have read it many times. It has a whimsical and innocent/ mysterious feel to it with its period romance approach with such a refreshinly resilient character. I was very disappointed with this voice actor and the abridged version but couldn't make myself rate it less just because I am so fond of the story.

I finished this so fast! usually I only listen to my audio books while I am driving but I couldn't stop listening to this. I used my headphones and finished in a day and I have read this book before. This voice author portrays the characters voice exactly as I imagined it so it made it that much more enjoyable!!
