Fun easy listen, we spend some time getting to know the characters and their background. The story outside of the RH really picks up towards the end and has me wanting to find out what happens next. Good balance of developing characters and their relationships, spicy moments, and developing the story.

Good Short RH Romance

A fun, quick, easy short story. If you're looking for a light read for an afternoon this is a good choice, especially for during the winter holidays. There is a good amount of build up and tension between characters.

Unexpectedly Enticing

The author takes a unique spin on vampire creation and existence, interestingly it is highly based upon their religion. I think one must have an open mind when listening to this, especially at first, because the emphasis on religion is a bit unusual and borderline off putting but is a key element of the story. Then next thing you know, you're fully engaged and are invested in the characters and the story line. Its a pretty good romance with a seemingly sudden twist towards the end that is hinted at throughout the story.

I do think that listeners should be aware that there is a heavy emphasis on the community's religion and that there is an older mindset in which women's rights aren't quite recognized. I am open minded enough and understand that this is part of the setting in a fictional story, so this wasn't a problem for me. I actually really enjoyed the writing and story as a whole and thought the narrator did a fantastic job bringing it to life.

Touching

The author combines a number of tropes in this story. There is one very notable twist, leading up to this twist we see where the relationship is going, and then there is this less than pleasant surprise, followed by an ending that we can see coming. Its a relatively easy listen. I enjoyed the writing, things flowed smoothly and there is enough detail that we are able to care for our characters.

The narrators did a great job and complemented each other well.

Great MC Romance

Love how strong of a woman Dixie is! Steamy without overwhelming us with many s e x scenes and the chemistry built between Dixie and Jace was great. We see where the story is going to go most of the time, but I appreciated this well written MC romance.

Excellent narration takes this story to the next level.

Fun

Loved how our characters meet on vacation as strangers. This is definitely an insta love type story, but our characters seem to have a lot in common. Its a fun and easy listen with a couple of steamy scenes thrown in the mix. Predictable ending but I enjoyed listening as our characters figure out where they went wrong and navigate to a happy ending.

Fabulous narration, definitely did a great job acting and changing voices to distinguish each character's internal and external dialogues.

Suspenseful

The author does a good job of building the background of what seems to be a perfect relationship. We are left in suspense as we wait for the other shoe to drop; its not hard to see where the author is going to take this story, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I liked that it wasn't a picture perfect ending and that our characters were VERY flawed to say the least.

Really like this narrator and she did an excellent job of giving a great performance.

Great YA Story

I'm not a young adult anymore, but I love listening to well written YA books. The author does an amazing job giving us a super cute story while incorporating a lesson of the importance of forgiveness. Very much enjoyed this listen as an adult and am pleased with the story.
