A lot of the story felt forced.
Revisado: 12-10-20
Loved RPO, and had high hopes for RPT, but they fell short. A lot of the stories sub-plots felt very forced and blatantly in your face. RPO addressed current events with grace and class, RPT felt more like a demonstration. If I wasn't so invested in the characters, I would've stopped the story there and never finished it. It felt as though it was reaching to fill space and filling it with whatever in-your-face content they could find. They wrapped it up with a mediocre bow at the end but that middle section just about lost me. I will continue to listen to RPO every few months, instant classic; however RPT is a one and done.

Not even Abe.

nice build up, let down climax
Revisado: 11-18-19
great continuation of the Harden story. a badass as always, lee continues his ways. even though it's all about lee they do show a bit surrounding the pandemic and our other favorite characters. which reminds me...where did they even leave that! seems to leave out abit of story when wrapping up the book. still good, still enjoyed just not as polished from the author.

Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

Good story, religious undertones
Revisado: 09-19-19
Great realism in the event of a EMP. Lots of religious undertones so if that's not your thing find a different dystopian series. Narrator is quiet, but good.

Will Wheaton was spot on for this book. the obscure 80s and early tech nostalgia was on point. gives video game culture a back story with terrific delivery.

Fast Moving and very entertaining.
Revisado: 06-04-19
Had to listen to it in basically one sitting. highly entertaining and not too convoluted. Was able to multitask and listen which was nice. Unlike alot of dystopian futures this one brought hope and cheer to time of dismay and fear. Looking forward to a possible second installment?

Heartwrenching and Unsatisfying
Revisado: 06-03-19
Again Lee and his band of merry operaters work towards taking it to the self-declared POTUS. They have a military base and several safe areas. Then a shit storm, and it resolves nothing! I cant believe how it ended, a cliff hanger without a hang... I will listen to the next book but I really hope it brings a bit more hope and closure in the ending. The feeling of no hope is fine for a TV episode not a novel.

great book, but...
Revisado: 05-16-19
thoroughly enjoyed the book. the build up and the story line brought great narratives and really layered in the back story. (spoilers?)however if this is the final book of the series it ended, in my opinion, anti-climacticly. could've used more than 1 hr to wrap up the final scene.
