Historia
Susan hates going to the doctor...with a passion. She hates being made to undress and spread her legs for a man so he can feel her most intimate recesses. She finds it humiliating, degrading, and dehumanizing. She can't stand the feeling of a man having so much power and domination over her. So when she needs a complete physical exam for an important new job, she arrives at the appointment already flustered.

Historia
Where Flynne and her brother, Burton, live, jobs outside the drug business are rare. Fortunately, Burton has his veteran's benefits, for neural damage he suffered from implants during his time in the USMC's elite Haptic Recon force. Then one night Burton has to go out, but there's a job he's supposed to do - a job Flynne didn't know he had. Beta-testing part of a new game, he tells her.

Terrible book from my favorite author
Revisado: 12-15-22
I tried. Then I traid again. Then I watched the show and tried again. I failed every time.
IMHO this book is the unhinged drivel with no story, no characters, no vibe, no beauty, and as dry as California forests. It seems that Gibson - the erudite visionary - settled on artless job of filling pages with meaningless and trivial observations of the tedious while totally missing on the lofty goals of the social fiction, so prominent in his earlier books.

Historia
The members of the Polaris Project knew what they were giving up when they volunteered to fly to the star named Angel-21, but the allure of being the first explorers to leave the Solar System far outweighed the risks. As it turned out, the most dangerous thing they faced wasn't the mission, it was the homecoming. Eight hundred years have passed, and Earth is nothing like they thought it would be.

Historia
As President Trump’s national security advisor, John Bolton spent many of his 453 days in the room where it happened, and the facts speak for themselves. The result is one of the few White House memoirs to date by a top-level official. With almost daily access to the president, John Bolton has produced a precise rendering of his days in and around the Oval Office. What Bolton saw astonished him: a president for whom getting reelected was the only thing that mattered, even if it meant endangering or weakening the nation.

Dry and boring
Revisado: 03-23-21
Reading this is like eating sawdust. It is essentially author's after-action notes, perhaps slightly edited. Only thing we learn about Trump is that he is a loose canon, completely out of his depth, and that Bolton is a government beaurocrat with as much charisma as old pair of sneakers. Overall impact of the book is a fat zero - or less.
