Historia
Autumn, 1921. Lady Eleanor Swift is invited to her old school, St Mary’s, as a guest speaker. Her favorite teacher, Mrs. Wadsworth, has asked that Eleanor talk about her intrepid travels around the globe - travelling the Silk Road by bicycle, crossing the Himalayas and even befriending the Maharaja of India. But in the circumstances, perhaps it would have been a good idea to talk about her career as a daring detective. Because no sooner has Eleanor brushed up on her times tables than she is greeted by terrible news: Mrs. Wadsworth has been murdered.

Her Mother attended StMary's
Revisado: 10-01-24
If you're a fan of the Lady Swift Mysteries then you know that her mom passed away when she was very young. The way this story subtly allows her to learn about her mom without making it the focus of the story is awesome. Verity Bright tells a great story, I've been listening to her for several weeks!

Good Story and Well Read
Revisado: 07-19-24
I really enjoyed the story. Literally all of the characters even the minor ones were interesting. You never knew if the story was about de Cogen or Inspector Henley both were so important to the telling. I will read other novels by this author.

I love how he intertwines fact with fiction to create such entertaining books. Audible has included historical perspective on his books in the past, I hope they go back to doing that again.

I'm not sure if it's a type of mystery writing I've never heard of but the reading was very Dick Tracey style and not in a good way.

Revisado: 03-29-23
This book is the 2nd to the last in the series and I've read all the previous. I feel like I know them! Lol! I was so concerned at losing a character in this one. It's a great story read by a great narrator.

Excellent story awful narrator
Revisado: 03-11-23
The narrator's too-often monotonous voice nearly had me running from this book, which was pretty good. I rated the book a 4 rather than 5 because of it. I won't listen to anything narrated by Jennifer Dixon again.

Historia
Imagine if you made one little mistake when you were young and were punished for it for the rest of your life. Well, that’s what happened to Lydia (yes, that Lydia, the youngest Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice), and she’s here to set the record straight. Hold on to your teacups and get ready for sophisticated (and a little bit naughty) hot takes and witty banter that’ll make you laugh—and think. We meet Lydia just as she is denounced by her family, exiled miles from home, and married to the rogue George Wickham, who seems to love all women...except his own wife.

The music made the story even worse
Revisado: 12-13-22
Even after listening to this version of Mrs. Wickham's point of view I still think Lydia and George Wickham are two awful people. This story could not change how the decisions they made and how they treated their family were presented in the original story. I can't believe they try to make Darcy feel guilty about how he feels about Mr. Wickham after what Wickham did to his sister. This story was just awful.
