It would be good if I were gay or bisexual but I am not nor am I a sex addict. I just wanted hear about the swamp. I give the author credit they warned me about it I thought it wouldn’t be too bad but I was wrong. I would return it if I could but I cannot. It’s pretty much an abomination to me. It isn’t about the Hockamock Swamp.

Historia
I'm a 64-year-old retired lawyer and former Assistant Attorney General with an unusual story to tell. Every word of it is true. It happened in a state park known as Devil's Den. For fear of losing my job and damaging my reputation in the legal community, I never spoke about the incident. If it hadn't happened to me, I'd be skeptical too. In 1977, I was an active duty NCO in the USAF. A friend and I planned a two-night camping trip to explore the wilderness. We drove deep into the forest until we came to a high plateau. There on the horizon sat a perfect triangle of three very bright stars....

Scary
Revisado: 07-11-20
It’s scary to think we live in a world where everyone is fair game. Any of us could be tagged. These things operate like a pedophile does, you are so right. Good book OSI, CID, NCIS they have one thing in common. They’re all penises with ears and armed. Rare breed of a person can do that job.

It is fascinating to see a Biblical story such as this. We read the story in Bible it does read on how they died but not in such detail. I can only imagine how you’d write on the birth of the Messiah. I do the way you always foil the watchers devious plan. They think they can stop the Messiah and do anything to stop Him.
Thank God the story is finished Jesus Christ or Yeshua Christo, Joshua the Anointed. If I follow the logic this then that makes Jesus Christ is King just by being anointed at His burial. Hey it’s a great book and now I’m hooked.

Whitley Strieber and Jeffrey J. Kripal team up on this unprecedented and intellectually vibrant new framing of inexplicable events and experiences. Rather than merely document the anomalous, these authors - one the man who popularized alien abduction and the other a renowned scholar - deliver a fast-paced and exhilarating study of why the supernatural is neither fantasy nor fiction but a vital and authentic aspect of life.

Historia
In The Butchering Art, the historian Lindsey Fitzharris reveals the shocking world of 19th-century surgery on the eve of profound transformation. She conjures up early operating theaters - no place for the squeamish - and surgeons, working before anesthesia, who were lauded for their speed and brute strength. They were baffled by the persistent infections that kept mortality rates stubbornly high. A young, melancholy Quaker surgeon named Joseph Lister would solve the deadly riddle and change the course of history.

The editors really hurt the story
Revisado: 10-18-18
The editor in charge failed to get dates correct and the narrator just zipped through it. This was a simple mistake and they didn’t catch it. It was in the story where Lister has just introduced or better yet implemented his procedure and was comparing the hospitals. The said a 20th century date rather than a 19th century date. I listened twice so I know I heard. I wish I had the text version to triple check my fact. That’s why I rated it as so.

Historia
"The rise in UFO sightings is due to the increase in alien activity on Earth. The aliens are abducting people in larger numbers and it isn’t going to stop anytime soon," says an abductee who claims to be regularly visited by aliens from another solar system. What’s happening here? Mainstream scientists reject the phenomenon without a second thought. However, there is little doubt that many credible and stable people who report alien abductions are sincere. Dr. John Edward Mack investigated over 800 claimed abductees and spent countless hours with these individuals....

Didn't make sense
Revisado: 09-02-16
It seemed to just not make a whole lot of sense. It didn't hold my attention. The segment on Billy Meyer was a bash the United States. Sure the U.S. is screwed up it has one of the largest prison population in the western world', it has an obese population, the government spends more than it takes in, mean while the population watches NFL games eating and drinking. Sound familiar? I would appreciate if Billy rather than telling us what we are doing wrong , show us the enlightened way out of this "mess". Besides no body bashes Jesus the Christ the Son of the creator Universe it's just not cool.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Historia
This classic war memoir, first published in 1920, is based on the author's extensive diaries describing hard combat experienced on the Western Front during World War I. It has been greatly admired by people as diverse as Bertolt Brecht and Andre Gide, and from every part of the political spectrum. Hypnotic, thrilling, and magnificent, The Storm of Steel is perhaps the most fascinating description of modern warfare ever written.

Graphic First Person Account
Revisado: 03-18-16
What did you love best about The Storm of Steel?
Ernst Junger portray's the battlefield in all its horrifying gore. All the horrer movies ever made don't even hold a candle to this. From the initial fear of thinking that the next moment might be your last to to the description of seeing a man literally blown out of their clothes is riviting. It took me a while to figure out what the author meant by the term "blue bottles" and then he described their origin and the bodies in which their prodegy fed on was quite graphic. The author is a masterful storyteller and an expert on World War One. This book is a great primary source first, hand account of life in the German trenches and superbly written.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Storm of Steel?
The author's description of coming upon a decomposing corpse and he detailed description of the scene along with the author's description of how long it been there.
Have you listened to any of Charlton Griffin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
no
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The author's description of what it was like just after a major offensive with the immediate silence and all that was left was the mangled body parts mixing with the mud, blood and in the air swirling smoke. It made me sad to think of all these lives in the prime of life wasted. They were often ordered to go over the top to sure death or blown to bits in a sudden artillery barrage. One minute your opening a tin or having a cup of coffee and suddenly Boom! and the next your in pieces scattered across the fields of France. The worse were those mamed by the war whether it was an arm, leg, or face it was still horrific.

Historia
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.
