Returned it. Terrible Narration
Revisado: 02-23-24
Get a sample before you commit or be ok with returning the title if you, like me, hate the narration. I really wanted to listen to this book, so I could see the differences between one of my favorite shows and the book it's based on. I could barely get through the first chapter with the narration. Her voice was grating. Sometimes I wonder if the actors read the book before they begin narration or if they go in blind. This is a time that getting to know the characters first may have been a good idea. I ended up buying the paperback and will hopefully have some time to read it soon.

Historia
Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been best friends ever since they met at a weight-loss camp as teens. When Emerson tragically passes away, she leaves one final wish for her best friends: to conquer the fears they still carry as adults. For Marley, it's coming to terms with the survivor's guilt she's carried around since her twin sister's death, which has left her blind to the real chance for romance in her life. For Georgia, it's learning to stop trying to live up to her mother's and brother's ridiculous standards and learning to accept love.

Can I give this more than 5 stars?
Revisado: 05-23-19
This may be my new favorite book. I listened to it, then listened again, then just went back to relisten to the Marley chapters. Not only are the characters totally relatable (I am Marley), but the situations and stories are so real. I think I'm in love with Will Harding (he's kinda sorta like my real life shy sweetie). I literally laughed and cried while listening to this MORE THAN ONCE. I am now going to be on the hunt for more books by Kristan Higgins and books read by Xe Sands. If you love a good friends story, with some awkward romance, and real life thrown in then give this book your full attention.

Historia
If Darcy Barrett hadn’t met her dream man when she was eight years old, the rest of the male population wouldn’t be such a let-down. No one measures up to Tom Valeska, aka the best man on Earth, not in looks, brain, or heart. Even worse is the knowledge that her twin brother Jamie saw him first, and claimed him forever as his best friend. Tom’s off limits and loyal to her brother, 99 percent. One percent of Tom has had to be enough for Darcy, and her adoration has been sustained by his shy kindness. And if she’s honest, his tight t-shirts.

Loved it from start to finish- even had bonus material
Revisado: 02-23-19
I’ve already told 2 friends about this book. It’s so fun. Darcy is relatable and interesting, Tom is that guy you loved forever and always dreamed about- strong, flawed, but still someone’s “perfect”. Of course, we have to have someone be a dick and we got that in Jaime. I didn’t love him but didn’t hate him either. The characters fit their roles and nothing felt disjointed or out of place. I actually ended up staying in the car an extra few minutes each day just so I could hear more.
I am always up for a light romance and this hit the spot. Not too much sex but just enough spice for those who need it a little more on the tame side. Very fun.

Love the Character!
Revisado: 11-10-17
I love Bosch. Slightly broken, but amazing nonetheless. I hadn't read or listened to any of the books prior to watching the show and this filled in a hole in the show very nicely. I was worried I may end up with a spoiler from one of the other but it was seamless. This book is great story telling. Fun to dive into and I'll more than likely read another of Michael Connelly's books after listening to this one. I say read because I didn't like the gravely voice of the narrator. He is talented in being able to act out scenes (like telephone calls sounding echoey and different voices), but his voice was a bit too harsh for me. Highly recommend for the story though.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Can Zachary Quinto Narrate All the Things Please!?
Revisado: 03-16-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. I loved the story, the narration, the pace. It was all great.
What did you like best about this story?
It was a great story from start to finish. It never lost me and I wanted to know what happened next. I really liked the unique aspect of the main character's job and how fast paced it was. While it is essentially a short story, because of it's length, it felt like a full fledged novel. It doesn't feel too much like a sci-fi novel, for those who don't dig sci-fi, though it has futuristic aspects to it. It was really well done.
Have you listened to any of Zachary Quinto’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've only seen him on tv and movies, but dang that man gives good voice. I'd listen to anything he narrated.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It wasn't that kind of story, but I really enjoyed it.
Any additional comments?
Zachary Quinto FTW!

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness... He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me.

So very bad- Don't waste the credit
Revisado: 03-16-17
What would have made Bared to You better?
The narrator made me hate the main male character. Is he this emo, angry, and angsty when you read the book? Not sure, but she made me not want to continue with the next 4 books in the series.
What was most disappointing about Sylvia Day’s story?
I was going to give this book 3 stars because it's a terrible story about a dysfunctional relationship, but I bought it because I wanted something steamy. It delivered on steam, and that worked for me in the beginning, but as the story progressed and the main character's answer to any kind of turmoil in the relationship was to have sex, it got ridiculous. Seriously?!? **slight spoiler** Your girlfriend is super jealous and insecure, two of your side chicks just told her they were in love with you and your answer is "you need to be fu**ed now". Um no, I need some reassurance this relationship is going somewhere.
How could the performance have been better?
She is so very bad at male voices. They should have had a male and female voice actor for this one.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The narrator did the sex scenes perfectly for the female. I bet whoever was listening to her tape this was blushing at times. That was fun.
Any additional comments?
It may be better if you read it and did Gideon's voice in your head. Maybe it translates better in print.
