Fitting for 2023
Revisado: 04-07-23
Two sisters working as professionals and seeking justice from different angles, while holding their own with male colleagues who just want to see them as objects of affection.
Reader lived out character voices well.
Good story to listen to while driving, cleaning house, etc.

Historia
When famous hard rock musician Beau Arson moves to Notchey Creek, Tennessee, the small town is sent into a frenzy. Strange events threaten the town's idyllic image and the much-anticipated autumn festival, Pioneer Days. Whiskey distiller and nerdy wallflower Harley Henrickson lives a quiet life of books and hard work, having given up a Harvard scholarship to care for her late grandfather, whose distillery she has since inherited. Her life is upended when she and her best friend stumble upon a disoriented drifter, and soon after, a wealthy history professor is murdered.

Perfect story for a long drive
Revisado: 07-07-19
I started this book on a 3 hour drive home, today. The narrator does an excellent job making each character's voice distinctive and believable....I forget it is the one narrator spezking for all of the characters. There's just enough mystery & humor to keep me engaged in the storyline, but still focused on the road.
Also, I identify with the small town plot and the main character's style.😁

"Make America Grateful Again"
Revisado: 07-06-19
DBB's "Grateful" is just what I needed right now to help me recast may daily outlook from "here we go again" to "Gratitude"! I love the way Diana weaves each chapter together; I can hear the common thread running through the storyline of each reflection. Her raw honesty brings delight & just the right touch of humor! And the tag line above....well, you'll just have to read/listen "for the rest of the story".

Historia
Emerson Knight is introverted and eccentric and has little to no sense of social etiquette. Good thing he's also brilliant, rich, and (some people might say) handsome, or he'd probably be homeless. Riley Moon has just graduated from Harvard Business and Harvard Law. Her aggressive Texas spitfire attitude has helped her land her dream job as a junior analyst with megabank Blane-Grunwald. At least Riley Moon thought it was her dream job, until she is given her first assignment: babysitting Emerson Knight.
