Historia
Here is an explosive book that takes us, for the first time, deep inside a shadowy, fascinating, and surreal world of unscrupulous doctors, anything-goes team directors, and athletes so relentlessly driven to succeed that they would do anything—and take any risk, physical, mental, or moral—to gain the edge they needed to win. The Secret Race is a riveting, courageous act of witness from a man who is as determined to reveal the hard truth about his sport as he once was to win the Tour de France.

Revisado: 05-09-20
As a cycling fan it was really emotional listening to the stories behind the big tour performances. A new perspective, which makes you wonder about what would you have done in his place. Excellent!

Historia

Why label your thoughts?
Revisado: 11-18-19
So you can be aware if they are wholesome or unwholesome, and let go of unwholesome thoughts as they are not beneficial for anyone. Meditation helps you identify thoughts and feelings. The book contains many such practical lessons, based on the teachings of the Buddha. Easy to comprehend and follow along. Some parts were a bit too spiritual for me, however most practices described are very practical and useful.

Historia
We have all pondered seemingly unanswerably but significant questions about our existence - the biggest of all being, "Why are we here?" Philosophy has developed over millennia to help us grapple with these essential intangibles. There is no better way to study the big questions in philosophy than to compare how the world's greatest minds have analyzed these questions, defined the terms, and then reasoned out potential solutions. Once you've compared the arguments, the final step is always deciding for yourself whether you find an explanation convincing.

Interesting thought experiments
Revisado: 09-16-19
Excellent introduction to the topic. The author/narrator does a great job at explaining and empasizing the important concepts. The lectures are mostly standalone, only loosely connected. Some chapters really captured my attention and were really enjoyable, others less so for me, and some were harder to follow in an audiobook format.

Historia
Masters of Doom is the amazing true story of the Lennon and McCartney of video games: John Carmack and John Romero. Together, they ruled big business. They transformed popular culture. And they provoked a national controversy. More than anything, they lived a unique and rollicking American Dream, escaping the broken homes of their youth to produce the most notoriously successful game franchises in history - Doom and Quake - until the games they made tore them apart. This is a story of friendship and betrayal, commerce and artistry.
