This is a very good book

This was a very good surprise. I came upon it surfing the related section. it's included in the membership so I said, let give it a go.

The narrator did a good job. The overall story is packed with a lot of political court drama and at the middle of it all is our MC. The side characters were instrumental for the story and provided comedic and emotional relief when needed.

The fantasy world is well built. And explanations to understand come in conversations or you understand in hindsight situations.

I enjoyed this book. Not one for leaving reviews, but I will do this one.

one passing scene does not an M/M make

Honestly, the story was hot. But I'm more of a M/M reader. I read the description and it does say M/M. I'm disappointed because one passing scene of two men kissing or the passing mention of sex, does not an M/M make.

Now, that out of the way, It was hot when I adjusted to a female character. The narrator did an excellent job.

The story was great. I love the present, then backwards and the progress of the story was detailed and heart wrenching. The characters, beautifully broken and the fact that sometimes love just isn't enough is something not many authors do. There is a HEA and the steam is just 4.5 🌶 not porn on a book, but god 🥵

Emotionally compromised in a good way

I never knew a book could tangle me all in knots. This is definitely not for the faint of heart, but it touches all the right feelings at the correct time. The narration was a dream, I wish all books were narrated like this one. Loved it.

Finally, a book that does not rush the characters into instant love. I loved it. would love to know what happened to the others after they left Zercy and Allec alone in the forest.

This one is a little bit different from my usual M/M. It is a little bit rough, I guess that's why the romance is muted. Don't misunderstand, it's just as spicy, but muted in the feelings department. Still, I enjoyed it a lot.

This one tugged at my heart.

it's an understatement to say I love these bundles. The stories were heart wrenching, but I couldn't help but push through to hear the outcomes. My favorite couple has to be Patton and Orie. The sweet story of puppy love to true mates is both heart wrenching and beautiful. I need more.

the stories are amazing and the epilogues, hilarious. I am definitely listening again. And it's going on my favorites.
