Historia
When Michael Pollan set out to research how LSD and psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) are being used to provide relief to people suffering from difficult-to-treat conditions such as depression, addiction, and anxiety, he did not intend to write what is undoubtedly his most personal book. But upon discovering how these remarkable substances are improving the lives not only of the mentally ill but also of healthy people coming to grips with the challenges of everyday life, he decided to explore the landscape of the mind in the first person as well as the third.

Outstanding and well researched
Revisado: 07-20-18
Finally, a reputable author willing to risk his reputation on a “taboo” subject. Knowing this is probably the reason why he researched the subject so thoroughly.
I would have to imagine that his authenticity throughout the book is partly a result of the experiences he so eloquently describes within the book.
Thank you Michael Pollan for bringing us one step closer to radical acceptance.

An amazing adventure that blends intelligent story telling, deep character analysis, and subtle paradox.
My fascination with burning man helped too!
