Good Modern Romance
Revisado: 10-29-12
I like Jill Mansell's novels since discovering her in a bookstore in Ireland. This book although not one of her best it is a good one with just enough quirky characters and sub plots to flesh out the story line and keep it above the fray of a predictable or typical romance.
Like it and it was a great listen the narrator does a wonderful job . It is a fun listen. I would recommend it to those wanting something light.

I enjoy this type of novel very much. The story line was very moving and touching for its time and the narrator did a wonderful job. I would listen to more of the author's novels and the narrator's also.

Heartwarming
Revisado: 07-23-12
This story of a young orphaned Indian boy in the early 1900's is at times both heartwarming and tragic. I brings out how cruelty discrimination against the Indian affected so many lives and how they stood strong against this discrimination. The grandparents love for themselves and their little grandson is at all times present in this book. At times you weep and at times you laugh. A wonderful listen. The end leaves you wanting to know more of this young man's life.

This book kept me glued to my Ipod. I couldn't stop listening. I hope they put more of Karen White's books on audio because if The House on Tradd Street is indicative of her work, she is great and I want to hear more.
