Griffin Dunn knows how to tell a story. I’ve always enjoyed his father’s work and enjoyed Griffin when he popped up on screen. I highly recommend this book and hope we hear more from Griffin.

Outstanding

I highly recommend this book. It’s so sad how untethered Harry was left in this world. Then, he fell in love and suddenly, his family wanted to bind him up as tightly as possible. The monarchy and royal family are such toxic systems. It’s terribly sad. Hearing Harry’s story in his own words was great and all the work he’s done on hisself is admirable. I hope he and his little family have a beautiful future.

Great and Highly Recommend

I was not familiar with Jenette McCurdy’s works since I was already an adult but without kids when she started on Nickelodeon shows. I heard about her book on an entertainment website and it piqued my interest. She really opened up and her story held my interest all the way through. She was the perfect person to perform the reading too. Her dry sense of humor and dry delivery helped provide much needed levity.

I tried really hard

I tried to get into this book because I truly enjoy stories about old Hollywood. I couldn’t even finish 2 hours of it. The narrator just was not the right person to read this story and the book dives a little too far into the minutiae of the details. I found myself easily pulled away from the story and being confused when I realized and started tuning back in. It’s too bad because there’s some potential here.

Great Bio

Some people have been critical about Will Smith over sharing but I truly enjoyed this audiobook. He gave a wonderful performance. I would’ve liked to learn more about behind the scenes of Fresh Prince of Bel Air but I understand that was covered in the HBO reunion - I haven’t seen it yet. I highly recommend this audiobook!

Cassandra Peterson’s journey was very interesting! I was engaged the entire time and highly recommend this audiobook. The entertainment industry really is a very small world and it was interesting to learn with whom her paths crossed throughout her life.

Excellent

I loved this audiobook and highly recommend it. Danny’s story is captivating and resonates with me like with many others. I’m Mexican-American and grew up with loved ones in and out of prison. Also, the disease of addiction runs rampant in my family. His story hit so close to home, I felt like I knew Danny personally. His faith and description about his purpose in life is captivating. He’s the realist and his story is worth a listen.

Couldn’t Finish It

This is probably just me but I couldn’t finish the book. I live with anxiety, depression, and adhd so I thought the book would be highly relatable. Instead, I felt my anxiety increasing because of the frenetic pace of storytelling. So many long, drawn out misunderstandings, all of which could be resolved with direct communication. It stressed me out so much. I know it sounds like an over-exaggeration but it was my experience.

Kept me Hooked

I enjoyed this book and initially, I was disappointed Travis didn’t narrate, but the performance by Cary Hite actually fit really well! I liked that throughout, people from Travis’s life offered insight about him. I was hooked and truly enjoyed the audiobook. I highly recommend it!
