Excellent read!

I chose to listen to this audio book only after learning about the mini-series that followed. It was a purchase well worth the credit. I've only seen the first episode of the series so far, but I'm sure it doesn't provide quite as much detail, primarily due to time constraints.
This a very interesting story, the back story of which, I was barely aware. Buy this book!

This is exactly the type of program that I have wished networks would prioritize for years. Tremaine Lee elevates voices and experiences that might not otherwise be heard and I love it!

Historia
Snuggle under warm blankets as you listen to the sound of coniferous tree branches creaking in the wind, while the crackle of frozen wet snow creates a humming winter nightscape. Unlike canned nature sounds created in a studio, renowned acoustic ecologist Gordon Hempton gives you the real deal. He travels the world recording remarkable locations that capture the essence of the place itself.

A wonderful story about loving yourself & humanity
Revisado: 11-20-20
This isn't the typical story about love and loss, complete with anecdotes. It's a story that says projecting love, receiving, love, and bearing witness to the oddity of life is all a blessing.

Historia
The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is considered one of the most effective pieces of legislation the United States has ever passed. It enfranchised hundreds of thousands of voters, particularly in the American South, and drew attention to the problem of voter suppression. Yet in recent years, there has been a continuous assault on access to the ballot box in the form of stricter voter ID requirements, meritless claims of rigged elections, and baseless accusations of voter fraud.

Historia
Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

Revisado: 10-20-20
Malcolm X was an interesting, thoughtful, and brilliant man with a very important story to tell.
I truly enjoyed gaining an insight into his life, motivations, and the evolution of his thinking.
Mr. Fishburne narration of the book was gripping, authentic, and truly honors the legacy of Mr. Shabazz.
