Historia
Chef and restaurateur Ben Shewry knows obsession well. Whether it's crispy-edged lasagne, saltwater crocodile ribs or the perfect potato, obsession is what motivates him and what makes him tick. It's also what has propelled his Melbourne restaurant Attica into the league of the most innovative, acclaimed dining experiences in the world, and one of the most vital in Australian history.

More than a memoir
Revisado: 12-04-24
I work in the hospitality industry. I believe that if more chefs and owners take a leaf out of Ben Shewry's book, the world will be a better place.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Not for readers of self help books
Revisado: 07-30-19
If you are a fan of self help books this is probably NOT the best choice for you. I feel this is quite basic, great for beginners in the self help genre. But if you have been reading around you probably won't learn anything new or insightful. In fact I think on some cases he contradicts himself.
This is really on a different level as other self help books, I think the content felt more like a casual blog than an insightful book that midway through the audiobook I felt the urge to google up the author's credentials. I regret to say I think the hype around this book was due to the curse word on the title and nothing else.
