This is like methadone I'll take it but I do get sick of kissing my sister. if Real Heroiin or The Frank Herbertt books for first time were available I'd prefer but it's all synthetic fentanyl now so this is better then dying or being sick, I guess.

Historia
When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss...

loved it Rowling as outrageously funny as Pratchett or Adam's I read these in late nineties early 2000 so I was 30 back then over 50 now and it's the bomb. it's revolutionary and aesthetic so this is not Marxism.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

I think the 1st book sets the perfect tone of other worldly and believable fantasy. Everyone dreams of belonging somewhere in this world . why not make it better than the real world.

Historia
Alan Moore channels both the ecstatic visions of William Blake and the theoretical physics of Albert Einstein through the hardscrabble streets and alleys of his hometown of Northampton, UK. In the half a square mile of decay and demolition that was England's Saxon capital, eternity is loitering between the firetrap housing projects. Embedded in the grubby amber of the district's narrative, among its saints, kings, prostitutes, and derelicts, a different kind of human time is happening.

This is poetry as prose.
Revisado: 05-22-20
This could not be a graphic novel. A very daring undertaking but as gen x goes, born in 1970, this is brilliant. The scope and detail will be difficult for up to 60% of readers who may hate it. This is Nine Princes In Amber, or even The Narnia tales. Working Class saints. Quantum physics, non Euclidean geometry, And time hallucinogenic pox hat punch. This is as huge and ominous as Dark Tower or Clive Barkers Quiddity in Great and Secret and Everville. Quiddity is an excellent thing to have faith in. Three times any more any less madness.Anyway this is right up a Hellblazer alley Northampton as a Angle, Devil, Ghost and the Living in membrane theory and a sexual subversion.

Love the self replicating Probe.. Love the source of Bobs consciousness. The networking and autofactory variables create excellent computer guy results. I'm a high fantasy d00d for the most part, but Herbert, Heinlein, and Asimov always make me appreciate the rivets over trees from time to time. I think guys that had 300 baud modems on there c64s will fInd this life affirming. We were on IRC in 1986 through the old telenet to get to your quantumlink, source, and CompuServe accounts from 1981 or so but I never saw the internet word till 86. Miss those 300bps terminal software 13 year old. King of computer crime. Great book for fidonet users.
