Historia
The book covers numerous tech entrepreneurial founders and software developers, and the exciting brands or products that they created. It goes deep on a handful of them, narrowly divulging exactly how a few software developers and startup founders created breakthrough tech products like Gmail, Dropbox, Ring, Snapchat, Bitcoin, Groupon, and more. It highlights and unpacks the general hero-worship that the media and our own minds practice about tech founders and tech entrepreneurs.

Each week I talk to the brightest minds in technology on ModernCTO Podcast and getting to meet the author of this book (great interview if you’re interested) and then read this book, very impressed!

Historia
Eating is an indispensable human activity. As a result, whether we realize it or not, the drive to obtain food has been a major catalyst across all of history, from prehistoric times to the present. Epicure Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin said it best: "Gastronomy governs the whole life of man."

Excellent speaker, engaging, wonerful
Revisado: 05-23-16
What made the experience of listening to Food: A Cultural Culinary History the most enjoyable?
The speaker, he is excellent.
What does Professor Ken Albala bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Himself, the inflection in his voice.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I liked the religion history sprinkled in. Makes sense, logical.
Any additional comments?
Professor Ken Albala, Great job on this. Really appreciate the work you put into producing this information. Oh, and about the food "crunch" bone logic, I agree with you, it's out there. I believe humans would have avoided the chewing and crunching of bones, rather than enjoying it. The crunch is one of many textures we experience (lettuce, apple, etc) and I believe we are attracted to it in the same way we are attracted to any variation of texture. Variety is the spice of life.
Well done.
Joel

In Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation, he explains why race does not really exist; evaluates the true promise and peril of genetically modified food; reveals how new species are born, in a dog kennel and in a London subway; takes a stroll through 4.5 billion years of time; and explores the new search for alien life, including aliens right here on Earth.

Searching for answers my whole life and finally found them.
This whole book coupled with lots of my own research I found this information to be true.
It's amazing especially growing up in religion where we are taught from a young age that God created earth in 7 days and our imagine can run wild and have a complete loss of reality.
So now coming up on age 30 it has been exactly what I needed. Finally something tangible, It's real, it's science, it's testable, repeatable and logical. I am so glad there are people who aren't crazy out there and they are searching for truth #scientist
