Another Emily Henry Fan Must Read

A fun, feel good story that I couldn’t stop reading. If you loved this authors other books you will love this one. As always, I laughed, screamed, and cried. I’m officially an Emily Henry fan! I have read every one of her books since People We Meet On Vacation and have enjoyed every one of them. I especially love this one. Daphne and Miles are a fun couple to read about, how they evolve from a devastating break up and heal together from that and leave their cheating ex’s in their dust. Loved every part of this story. And a special nod to Julia Whelan…she is amazing as ever. She brings life to audio book characters- she’s magical!

Amazing Ending

Loved all of it! Best of the series and wrapped up Ash and Sera’s story so nicely. Set up the next series so well too. Can’t wait for the next Poppy and Cas book. Stina is awesome, bringing the characters to life!

FUN FUN FUN!

I laughed and cried! I loved this book as much as Every Summer After, which I adored! The chemistry between Lucy and Felix is off the charts!!! The loyal friendship between Lucy and Brigitte is so sweet. This is such a great feel good story that kept pulling me along that I couldn’t put it down. I will read this one again and again. A true beach read book. AJ Breidel is amazing as always and brought the characters to life!

Loved getting to know Suren!

I totally love both of these books in this duology. I honestly was not sure if I would like this book, but loved it! Narrator was great. I wish the same narrator as in the Cruel Prince series had done these, but not a deal breaker for me. Now I want more and more of this world. So much fun! Thank you Holly Black!

Loved It!! Cannot get enough Elfhame!!

Thank you Holly Black for giving us more Elfhame stories! More please!!! It was so amazing visiting this world again but with lots of new places, people, creatures. It was like going back home visiting and catching up with old friends! I only wish the same narrator had been used as in the Cruel Prince series but this was not a deal breaker for me. Narrators for both books were very good.

Stina is the only good part

I knew this was a compendium or “guide book.” However, there are no story revelations like I hoped for. Plus, are we to understand Willa was seeing all these couples have sex?? And further, writing it in great detail???? And a 1000+ year old woman doing this isn’t creepy or anything?????? Sorry, the detailed sex scenes of her seeing others have sex and then writing it down in excruciating detail were too much for me to accept. I did not need a recap of any of that much less from a third party. Waste of time and money. Very boring, weird and creepy. I am a HUGE FBAA fan, and JLA fan, but this book had no value to me, and what is worst, ruined the character of Willa for me. Not at all what I thought this would contain. I feel duped into buying it under the presumption of meaningful story reveals. Stina is the only good part of this audio book - she is amazing as always.

Fun Christmas Listen

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Highly recommend! I listened to it over a weekend before Christmas as I wrapped gifts and did other Christmas preparations and it was such a fun uplifting and feel-good story - hilarious at times too!! I love all of Portia MacIntosh’s stories I’ve read so far. I love all her characters and entering their world is a fun escape for awhile. Karen Cass’s reading and performance is perfect as always and brings the story to life!

I love this series! It’s so much fun to listen to these stories and characters! I love that these are fun, feel good books that you can listen to in an afternoon! This is perfect for “curling up by the fire with a good book.” Highly recommend the series! Narration is excellent!

I listened to the whole series and fell in love with this friend group. They are so much fun! These books are perfect for an afternoon of lighthearted, feel good reading. Please Ms. Maverick, give us one more of Tamara’s story!!! Perfectly narrated!!

The building of a villain

Loved it! Thank you! Finally we got to what the fans of the series were waiting for. Not how I was expecting, but I love unpredictability and this book was about the building of a villain. And so we got to see how bad Kolis could really be. The more horrific the villain, the better the story. If you thought Isbeth was bad she was a picnic compared to Kolis. This was essential because you really need to see and feel how evil a villain is to truly emphasize and respect what the heroes are fighting for and to root for them. I thought this was done well. The psychological and physical torture our beloved Sera endured was heartbreaking. I kept thinking too how this was hurting Ash as he can feel her pain. Even though Ash is not physically there with Sera while she’s captured, his presence is still felt. Sure I missed Ash and the other characters we’ve come to love, but I think that was also the point, and I’m quite sure we will see them all in book 4. Plus, don’t get me started on all the new revelations we’ve learned! There’s so much I know I missed some, that I have listen again. Agree too much sex all concentrated towards the end, but I just fast forward through it, lol. A must read for fans of the series. Stina is amazing!!!! Love her in this series!
