Historia
Adrift in a raft after a deadly ship explosion, 10 people struggle for survival at sea. Three days pass. Short on water, food, and hope, they spot a man floating in the waves. They pull him in. “Thank the Lord we found you,” a passenger says. “I am the Lord,” the man whispers. So begins Mitch Albom’s most beguiling and inspiring novel yet.

Historia
The book probes the possible roles of four brothers in the unresolved murder of their father, Fyodor Karamazov. At the same time, it carefully explores the personalities and inclinations of the brothers themselves. Their psyches together represent the full spectrum of human nature, the continuum of faith and doubt. Ultimately, this novel seeks to understand the real meaning of faith and existence and includes much beneficial philosophical and spiritual discussion that moves the reader towards faith.

What is my purpose in life? What is a good life? Why is there so much wrong with our world? What can I do to help make it right? These are some of the big questions that everyone must answer. And any lasting change in our lives will start with a change to one or more of our answers to these questions. Jesus changed the life of every person he met in the Gospels, through powerful experiences and words that led them to unexpected and transforming answers to their big questions. These conversations can still address our questions and doubts today.

Historia
Taking his trademark intellectual approach to understanding Christianity, Timothy Keller uncovers the essential message of Jesus, locked inside his most familiar parable. Within that parable Jesus reveals God's prodigal grace toward both the irreligious and the moralistic. This book will challenge both the devout and skeptics to see Christianity in a whole new way.

this was quite an eye opener for me
Revisado: 02-27-21
i am both the elder and younger brother rolled into one. we all are. Learning that we ,out of habit, try to earn our way to achieve some kind of deep spiritual joy was something I was blind to. Meeting Jesus as someone who absolutely had to be crucified for me to have that perfect joy in my life have changed my relationship with God. Thank you Jesus and thank you Tim.
fairly short read but I recommend you to take your time with it. needs a bit of reflection.

Historia
King's Cross is Timothy Keller's revelatory look at the life of Christ as told in the Gospel of Mark. There have been many biographies of Jesus, but few will be as anticipated as this one by Keller, the man Newsweek calls "a C. S. Lewis for the 21st century". In it, Keller shows how the story of Jesus is at once cosmic, historical, and personal, calling each of us to look anew at our relationship with God.

the depths of Jesus our Christ
Revisado: 02-20-21
I've struggled a lot with understanding the true meaning behind Jesus's cross and how it supposed to change me. this gave me the detailed explanation behind every move jesus made on his journey to the cross. why Jesus did and said the things he did. it changed me and made me humbled realizing how inevitable our salvation was without his dedication.

We were created by an infinitely creative God to reflect his love and character to the world. One way we do that is by continuing his creative work. In this energizing book, serial entrepreneur and best-selling author Jordan Raynor helps artists, entrepreneurs, writers, and other creatives re-imagine our work as service to God and others, addressing such penetrating questions as: Is my work as a creative really as God-honoring as that of a pastor or missionary? Will what I make today matter in eternity?

Revisado: 04-04-20
I don’t have kids but lived the life of busy high pressure job with title in an NYC apt life for more than a decade. It’s not a sustainable life. A human being cannot live like that and not end up breaking something-it’ll either be health, money or relationships. Or all three.
This author describes precisely what the current issue is with the modern career structure that forces people and families to squeeze into the impossible demands of keeping up and living and just breathing without always chasing a deadline or always feeling like “you haven’t made it yet”

Historia
Few subjects are as compelling-or as endlessly variable-as love and marriage. The Bible is filled with references to husbands and wives, from the story of Adam and Eve to advice in the New Testament, each open to interpretation. In The Meaning of Marriage, Timothy Keller, pastor of New York's Redeemer Presbyterian Church and bestselling author of The Reason for God, uses the scriptures as his guide to show readers what God's call to marriage is, and why this is such a powerful call.
