Historia
It's May, 1978, and a UFO requests permission to land. A human girl in her early teens and a robot exit the craft, and a strange botanical lifeform is found onboard later that night by a USAF landing party. The vehicle, robot, and the strange plant are impounded and subsequently sent to Area 51. NASA astrobiologist Gabriel Greenley is called in to study this new lifeform that at first appears similar to a botanical species known as oxalis. As a psi-sensitive, Greenley quickly learns the specimen is highly intelligent and potentially dangerous when he attempts to take a leaf sample.

Mixed Feelings
Revisado: 08-09-18
Ms. Fox has excellent details in many areas of the book. She is very accurate in the details regarding the area the story takes place. In many areas, it is like the thesaurus blew up with all the adjectives used. At times it is cumbersome to listen to. There are areas that are inconsistent, in my opinion. How can Thyron have such a low opinion of earthlings? In order to do so, he would have to have had some exposure yet he does not know anything about Earth or the way plants are treated. How can he not know what an engine is, yet know what a weapon is and that a vehicle is armored? Seems like it would be a good book for tweens wanting to expand their vocabulary.

"In the United States, where we have more land than people, it is not at all difficult for persons in good health to make money. In this comparatively new field there are so many avenues of success open, so many vocations which are not crowded, that any person of either sex who is willing, at least for the time being, to engage in any respectable occupation that offers, may find lucrative employment."

good to know
Revisado: 08-09-18
It amazes me that a published book this old is full of so many items that we need today. The advice in this book may seem outdated according to the world's standards but if you want to amass wealth, the concepts are true. Barnum provides examples of how choices affect our finances and guidance to what choices you need to make in order to achieve goals. He also makes his point that it doesn't come easy and explains why you do not want it to come easily.

Historia
Considered to be one of Oscar Wilde's most brilliant works, The Importance of Being Earnest is celebrated not only for its innovative story line but also its comedic relief and lighthearted banter. The comedy was first performed in London 1895 and has been enjoyed ever since. The inspired and humorous dialogue of Algernon Moncrieff, Jack Worthing, and the other salacious characters keeps readers on the edge of their seats for the next twist and turn. A humorous tale of love and mistaken identity, The Importance of Being Earnest is a well-beloved comedic play.

Subtle humor
Revisado: 04-16-18
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs a lighthearted, yet possible reality-based book. The subtle humor is lost on most people though. This book had me laughing out loud on many occasions.
What did you like best about this story?
This story is filled with deceit that turns around and bites the perpetrators in the butt. It mimics real life relationships that are set to fail as they are based on deceit and conniving desires.
Which character – as performed by Carson Beck – was your favorite?
Jack Worthing. The discoveries he made regarding himself are very ironic in nature compared to what he tried to hide.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I chose this book for the title.

Good story
Revisado: 04-16-18
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend this book with a couple of cautions. The biography is very fascinating, however, the rate of the speaker was too fast and difficult to maintain.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the details of Benjamin's life. How he felt and grasping the differences in the way families were then to how they are now.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The orator had a nice voice, however, his pace was a bit fast and I had to really concentrate on listening. I finally turned the speed down to 0.75 and that was much easier.
Was The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin worth the listening time?
Yes, if you are interested in history at all, then this is definitely worth your time.

Accented Vowels
Revisado: 01-12-18
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I enjoyed the message but the narrator elongated his vowels. I found that I was listening more to see which words he would pronounce without elongation more than I was listening to the message of the book.
What did you like best about this story?
There are some great basic concepts of attitude needs in order to be successful in life and to feel successful.
Would you be willing to try another one of Ron Welch’s performances?
No
Could you see The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I cannot see it being made into a movie or TV series.

Rich formal text
Revisado: 01-07-18
What made the experience of listening to On the Shortness of Life: Stoic Principles for Self-Improvement the most enjoyable?
The nice baritone vocal was very engaging. There was an appropriate inflection in the voice that kept you engaged.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the more formal English and references to subjects not heard of today. The wording was such that you had to pay attention and listen to understand the content.
Which scene was your favorite?
I enjoyed where it was pointed out that if a person has to be told they are sitting that they did not have the ability to function in life and needed to stop being so lazy (paraphrased to my own words)
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There was not a particular moment that stood out, however, the entire book provided "food for thought"
Any additional comments?
There were two places where wording cut up a bit but that could have been the wifi signal, but I am not positive.
