Historia
Traditionally, Americans learned in school that the ancestors of the people who inhabited the Western Hemisphere at the time of Columbus' landing had crossed the Bering Strait 12,000 years ago; existed mainly in small nomadic bands; and lived so lightly on the land that the Americas were, for all practical purposes, still a vast wilderness. But as Charles C. Mann now makes clear, archaeologists and anthropologists have spent the last 30 years proving these and many other long-held assumptions wrong.

wonderful book, Terrible narration.
Revisado: 08-15-20
the history is fascinating The Narrative is wonderful, how sad that the book had to be handed to Darryl Dennis. He does not know how to read. sentence structure, timing, punctuation, none of these are correct. it is so distracting to hear him read badly, that I want to put the book down.

House of Bergman is electrifying
Revisado: 09-15-19
consistently honest, funny, compelling, and horrifying, House of God is a must-read. Steve Bergman gives us a narrative of his 70s Medical School experience which sheds a bright light on the medical pharmaceutical industrial complex which runs our corrupt and dysfunctional Healthcare System.
