This book gave me so many ah-ha moments, that I may need to fo over it again, and I'll likely buy the paper book itself to use as an easy reference. Amazing amount of information and stories like my own, my daughter's and my marriage that hit the nail on the head. So good to have these confirmations and suggestions and resources for help.

great book to learn about Welsch and Celtic mythology

I'm so glad that I got this book. the reader was really good and important that she pronounced the names correctly; obviously a native speaker. Yous have to be to read this. also good explanations on insights starting each chapter.

great information

As someone who practices a BTW path, I found this information super enlightening, as there's practices from old traditional witchcraft that may or may not have been mentioned but not passed down to me or that I've read before. I'm finding these books on traditional witchcraft have good info on the Devil/Witch Father, familars, and other unfamiliar practices or more in depth than other sources. I ordered the book to be able to reference these things better.

But as others have mentioned, the writers did have a tone of 'we changed this in our tradition and think this is better because...' , however it may just be the tone of the reader. if they didn't change anything and didn't have a reason to do so, they wouldn't have created their own path. I chose to take it more as explanatory for what made sense to them. But funny that this is a traditional witchcraft path, because when you change something from the tradition, it's no longer traditional - it's what you made up.

great book on old witchcraft

I was interested in reading a book on old country witchcraft, and found this one to be very good. interesting, as this book, and Gary's other two here, discuss tools, charms and rituals quite different from the ones I'm more familiar with. it do3s beg to question is some of these are the precursor to chants, rituals, etc performed in BTW

the Black Toad

well named. in that she talks a lot about toads. But it's mostly about discussing archaic spells of old England - the "Wrst country" - Cornwall and such. Interesting from a historical perspective. but don't expect to use this as a modern day spell book.

excellent book

ait wasn't what I expected, and yet was pleased at the information on the history of the bards and other Welsh information. I liked the information on Cerridwen and very pleased with info on the Awen and related material. I bought the book so I could see what the words were that were being said. I'll probably listen and look along with some sections again.

Good read

This was a nice book, a light read. I enjoyed the information from the author, but found the dialogu between her and her friends got a bit boring sometimes with all their conservations among them and their deceased kids. really good interview at the end with a lady who's son committed suicide.

Great book on magic with exercises

The information here was great. But I use audiobooks primarily when driving or at the gym, and honestly. given the amount of exercises (>100), it took me a long time to get through this book, as I had planned to do the exercises as they came up or shortly thereafter. After a while, I decided to bookmark each one as I came to them so I coukd go back and do them. Towards the end, when I came across information on the circle of the Pentagram and Hexagram castings, I de idea that I wanted to have this book in hand to reference and so I bought it. Audibook is good to go through and hear initially, but if you want to refer to the exercises, or not listen to them all, best to have the physical book in hand.

This book is essential foe understanding the elements and the Elementals. I would make this a required reading foe my students.
